iBlogPro3: Search box disappeared!

I tried to add the search box widget to the footer but it doesn't appear. It shows up with default setting though.

Did you give the search box widget a title? Sometimes that can cause problems. Also, you can disable the default in the theme options to see if that helps

I didn't give the search box a title. Indeed, I don't know how to add a title. There is no option in the search widget. Yes. My problem appears when I try to disable the default and then put a search widget into the footer. When I didn't disable the default and left the left hand most footer empty, the search box appeared by default indeed. How to solve the problem? thx

I tried a few things and saw the issues you describe. Not sure I have an answer but I did just find what looks to be a pretty nice search widget. I tried it briefly and it looks nice but can't say any more without additional testing.
