mscappa 0 Report post Posted April 1, 2010 Hello, I was hoping to add a few new stand alone graphical images to the homepage and was wondering if you could help advise on how to best do so? Would i need to add a div to the css, then call it in a php file? Can I use the text editor to do so? Thanks!
cmunns 16 Report post Posted April 1, 2010 You won't have to add any html or php. Where are you trying to add the graphic? In the background?
mscappa 0 Report post Posted April 1, 2010 I know I don't HAVE to, since your designs are so sweet! Truly! Great job on all of them! Best i've seen online! I used wpremix previously and although they offer some good flex with their pre-built templates, your designs and clean functionality blow it away! However, I was trying to add a couple of other custom design elements on the home page, aside from the background. Simple floating images to accent my designs. cmunns 16 Report post Posted April 2, 2010 mscappa, Haha well thanks so much for the praise, however, I'm afraid you'll have to more specific on where you want these images so I can best advise on how to accomplish what you want. Be as specific as possible...are they icons? large images? Do they fit inside boxes or overlay behind certain elements?, etc Could you post a screenshot to help you describe? Thanks
mscappa 0 Report post Posted April 2, 2010 of course! Essentially my work around so far was to utilize the pagelines logo at the bottom of the page and swap in my own image. However, now i can;t figure out how to change the link that goes directly to http://pagelines.com. So i figured I'd try and add all new images, but that too has now stumped me! Here's what I was tryin to do: Screenshot And here's the css I modified. If I can just change the link, that would be ideal, if not, it would be good to know how to add additional elements too! ` a.pagelines { display: block; text-indent:-3330em; font-size: 0px; color: #fff; float: right; height: 203px; width:200px; background: url("/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/stickyp.png") no-repeat 0px 0px; } `

cmunns 16 Report post Posted April 3, 2010 You can't change the link of an image in the css, For that particular image go the footer.php file and change what's between the double quotes here: `href="<?php e_pagelines('partner_link', pagelines('credlink'));?>">` (It's close to the bottom of the file) Adding other images in this way, you'd have to add similar elements as the pagelines logo that could be positioned with CSS
mscappa 0 Report post Posted April 3, 2010 I don't seem to have that in my footer file? Could it be in another .php file? I even unzipped the original download and looked at a clean footer file and no "href" you're referring to?
