You can use this in custom code > custom css: `#soapbox .linkwithin_hook {display:none}`

Yes I notice it now, and it does indeed go away when I disable the rule in firebug. That's strange.. I don't know how LinkWithin handles those links. I don't see how css would affect content like that. This is probably something that needs to asked on their end.

FYI - I deleted and reinstalled and it's not spastic anymore. Now just to get it to show images - does anyone have any advice on that?

What images are supposed to show? Are they thumbnails that accompany the links?
