Reducing the space between the footer and sub nav

On this site Le Chiron I have been trying to see how to reduce the space between the footer and the sub nav. I checked with firebug and it shows there is no space between each bit of mark-up so I would need to change the padding. Since this was live I didn't want to mess things up - is there some custom CSS that I can put in the settings to reduce this? Thx

You can add this Custom CSS to reduce the height of the footer:

div.dcol_container_3 {height: 180px;}
