dvanton 0 Report post Posted June 26, 2011 Hey everyone. I am using iBlogPro 4, and on the blog page displaying all the posts, I can't seem to get the thumbnails to show up as they do on the iBP4 demo site - http://www.pagelines.com/demos/iblogpro/blog . I do have the images hsowing nirmally on the single blog pages, just not on the blog page. What am I missing? I went through it all several times and can't figure it out. In the Pages and Posts menu, i have selected "All Blog/Post Pages" in the Post Thumbnail Placement section. There must be something simple that I am missing. Thanks in advance. kastelic 6 Report post Posted June 26, 2011 Do you have the featured image set for each of the pages/posts?
dvanton 0 Report post Posted June 27, 2011 Hey Jimmy, not sure what you mean about the "featured image set for each page/post"? If you are asking if I inserted the images for each post, then yes, I have inserted each image already (using the Set Feature Image link). The thumbnails look fine when I view the single post page, just the thumbnails are not showing up in the blog post page... Any other thoughts?...
dvanton 0 Report post Posted June 27, 2011 Is including the thumbnail something that has to be done in the "excerpt" section? or is it already set-up automatically after the post is published?
Kate 3 Report post Posted June 27, 2011 Hi Dave, This is what he's referring to: Settings->Blog and Posts->Post Thumbnail Placement Please check that you have "Posts/Blog Page" selected.
dvanton 0 Report post Posted June 27, 2011 Hi Kate, Thanks for clarifying:) yes, under Post Thumbnail Placement, I have "All Blog/Post pages" clicked. Do you know if I have to use the excerpt box? Currently I am leaving that blank. Any other thoughts?
dvanton 0 Report post Posted June 28, 2011 Hey guys, I figured it out. I had used the "set feature image" to insert the image, but was only using the "insert into post" button. I should have also been using the same area to set the image as the feature image - Jimmy you were right! Then, to avoid duplicate images on my blog, I used your setting to post feature thumbnails on single post pages only! Thanks again!
ant3840 0 Report post Posted July 7, 2011 Hi dave can you explain better how you did it, because i'm having a similar problem. I'm doing duplicates for the thumbnail, plus the picture inside the blog,=P Thx in advance
dvanton 0 Report post Posted July 7, 2011 To avoid duplicate images in blog posts for the iBlogPro4 theme: iBlogPro > Theme Options > Pages and Posts > Post Thumbnail Placement > Only on blog pages and search For inserting the image into the blog post: Posts > Featured Image > Set Featured Image > Select File (Or find image through the library) > Insert into Post To insert it as the featured image for the post, do it again but this time to set it as Featured Image: Posts > Featured Image > Set Featured Image > Select File (Or find image through the gallery) > Use as Featured Image
