Controlling Where Posts Appear

How can I control where posts appear on my site? Ive set up a page called blog and want them to all appear on this page

Settings -> REading . Choose "static page" for your homepage and Blog as your blog page.

thanks, a new question when I click on the blog page I can see my posts there but how do I control how the column is displayed on the right? If I edit the blog page there isnt any options available to show hide the column

That column, the sidebar, can be removed by removing all widgets inside it (Appearance > Widgets) and hiding the sidebar by going to Template Setup and disabling it.
