Unable to change Permalinks on Blog only

Hi, The rest of my website is using custom permalinks simply using the page name. For some reason this has not applied correctly to the permalinks for the blog page (which i have called News). So when i add a new post it is using the permalink: http://innov8consulting.com.au/http:/innov8consulting.com.au/news instead of just http://innov8consulting.com.au/news and obviously none of my posts are showing up on the news page. I have tried to reapply custom permalinks in Settings and this did not resolve it. Any help would be appreciated. Cheers, James.
