Adjusting width of boxes

Recommended Posts

stevenshade

Hi there, I've been looking for this in the documentation, but so far haven't seen it (but please redirect me if I've simply overlooked it). I'd like to display two boxes on my home page, where one box takes up 1/3 of the width, and the second box takes the other 2/3. Is there a way to do this? Thanks much! Steve

Not with any of the options but perhaps with some custom code. Can you provide a link to the site?

Add this custom code to your Custom CSS area or the base.css file in the child theme:

#fbox_20 {width: 350px;}
	#fbox_19 {width: 590px;}

Please read the docs before posting. Please do not private message me unless I ask you to.

Hi, I am trying to do something similar on http://fostercarecounts.org/wordpress/ - I'm trying to match a provided design where the bottom two boxes (nav and GET INVOLVED box) are about 25% and 75% width respectively. The custom code above is not working for me (it seems there are grid-element and grid-element-pad selectors that are affecting things as well) any suggestions? Thanks so much for any help!
