feature preview question mark?

Recommended Posts

Khepri

I am trying to get all of my ducks in a row for the feature slider by putting in a background picture and a foreground picture. When I just use a background picture I have a clear picture preview in the features window. However when I ad the foreground picture my picture preview turns into a question mark. Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong or have I discovered a Platform pro bug? RTV5Q.jpg Here is a picture of the paths for word press, so you know I am putting them in the right place. hb8gR.jpg The photo above shows the question mark instead of a picture for Safari, in Firefox I don't even get a hint that anything is wrong. You can see all the other photos are there because I don't have a picture in the "upload an image for the feature media area" section. This is a problem because I want to place background photos that will complement the feature media picture and I need to see a preview in this area so the process in more efficient. Someone help please. I am cheer-leading for you and trying to get possible clients to purchase the template, but that is becoming an ethical challenge as I run into bugs. Am I missing something obvious? Thank you!

1.5, I just got it a few weeks ago. Before that I had all of the Pro versions of Whitehouse, station pro, Eco Pro, Iblog etc. Then I bit the bullet and got this thinking my life would be oh so much easier.

Yes, the plugins that you recommend. I tried turning them all off, that did not work. Even in the Demo video on your own site it shows him only demo the feature process using the background and you see the picture but it does not show him placing a second image further down on the page, leading me to inquire as to whether or not it is a bug. http://www.pagelines.com/docs/feature-slider At 9:00 minutes in look towards the top right and you will see a little question mark for just a moment. Don't get me wrong, this product is amazing and making incredible strides, it is just weird when random things like this happen and they are not addressed. Do you have any productive ideas about how I can solve this problem Cat? You always seem to be the guru with the answers, I am quickly becoming a disciple.

If it's a bug, I'm guessing there are some other hidden factors here because I can't manage to reproduce it. I've tried setting both bg/fg feature images and looking at the preview, and it seems fine for me in all my browsers. How many images have you tried this with? The only time I get those X or ? icons is when my image ended up being corrupt.

no such luck Here is the bg image http://education-epicenter.net/wp-content/uploads/2011/06/blue_bg_feature960.jpg Here is the foreground item http://education-epicenter.net/wp-content/uploads/2011/05/Urban_education1.jpg'>http://education-epicenter.net/wp-content/uploads/2011/05/Urban_education1.jpg They show up fine in the slider, its when I am on the features dashboard that I don't have a photo representation of what I am working with. http://education-epicenter.net/wp-content/uploads/2011/05/Urban_education1.jpg'>http://education-epicenter.net/wp-content/uploads/2011/05/Urban_education1.jpg I checked them again per your request and both images are just fine. I am also a photoshop person with 14 years of web admin, I am still working hard to wrap my head around the nuances of CSS. Suggestions Tim? I have noticed your wisdom all over this forum too. As a matter of fact, I am pretty amazed that so few of you serve all these people as well as you do. Thank you for any assistance that you could provide.
