  1. Hello, I would like the category pages not to show the .current_posts_info saying "currently viewing category 'Catname'" but instead just to show the category name in an h1 style. Is it easy to do? (I'm not good at php!)

  3. Add Title to Carousel

    I have read the thread at http://www.pagelines.com/forum/topic/11137-how-to-add-title-to-carousel/ as well as the "add Hooks docs but am having an issue adding a title to the Carousel. I have adding the code provided in the referenced thread to my functions.php and init.php foles no avail. The code looks like this: [CODE] add_action('pagelines_inside_top_carousel','add_carousel_title'); function add_carousel_title() {?> [/CODE] When I try to use it, I receive a syntax error. Any ideas?   4. Hi I am trying to use a multi color site title. I know that that the simplest way to go about this is to put each work in the title in a span of its own and then style them in my css. I however don't know where to go to modify this. As right now the site title is within the H1 tag I think that some modification of the php or a function would do the trick but am not familiar with how to add or modify this in. I'm using: Base theme Business Branding Pagelines Customize Any Help would be appreciated greatly.

  6. Hi, I've searched through the PageLines forums before, but only found hints on how to achieve the opposite (hiding h1 titles on pages). Every page of my blog (www.muenchen-webdesign.de) has an H1-title, and I'm totally fine with this. However, the homepage (which is setup on purpose to be the blog posts overview page, and I don't want to change this) does not show a page title (such as simply "Blog", or - as I'd like to get it - "Blog & News", which is the corresponding menu name). Most of you will know why this is important to me - any SEO-Tool expects to find at least and at most one H1-tag on every page of a website, and Google & Co. honor it if you have that H1 on every single page. I've searched comprehensively through various articles on the web on how to achieve this, but finally gave up, mostly because this seams to be something that needs to be implemented in the themes' sources - and a) I don't want to change any themes' sources (which would get overwritten mostly by theme updates anyway) I'm a PHP absolute beginner So I really hope there is either a way to accomplish this through the "regular" theme options, or the PageLines developers have a heart for people like me and "quickly" add this to the themes' options in one of the upcoming updates. If that's not possible (for whatever reason), I'd still be happy to get directions on how to add this in a correct and safe way manually through the PHP-sources. I'm currently using version PageLines 1.3.5 but will update to version 1.4.0 soon. Thanks for any help in advance and best regards, Franz Kohl

  8. Hi, I've created a category to just link to resources outside of my blog. I would like to hide the title and metabar for this posts in category-213. I'm using Platform Pro 1.6 Is it any way to do it just with CSS? Can I also style a border or background for this category only by CSS? Thank you very much!
  9. Hi, How do I remove the default blog meta title from single post pages - as well as the pages? It appears to show properly on one of my sites but not the other... not sure what I am doing wrong.   10. Hi there, On my site there’s a pipe/vertical bar (the | character) in the <title>-tag, even though I’m not using a tagline for the site. There’s a page title and that’s it - the tagline field in settings > general is completely empty (no spaces or anything like that). So my question is - where do I remove the pipe/vertical bar? the output is now: <title>Title |</title> but I want <title>Title</title> I haven’t been able to find a solution on the forums or on the web as it seems there shouldn’t be the pipe if the field is empty.   12. So, I'm trying to customize my masthead as seen on: http://peppersloughoutfitters.com I added a background to it, as shown. So no issues there. BUT I want to get rid of the title. I put in the code that goes display: none, which removes the title, but it also alters the position of the background and throws it out of wack. Is there a way to remove the title, and keep the background in the position its at now? As you can see I kept a period as the title, to keep it in place, but I'd like it gone without altering the position of the background. Thank you! I attached an image of what it looks like when I remove the masthead title or even if I reduce the size of the title text.

  19. First I want to display my logo as SVG so I can style to resize nicely. When I try to upload an SVG using PageLines logo option it tells me the file type is not supported. Second I want to display the site title and description next to the logo as text and not have to make it part of the logo so it will render crisply on all screens and so I can easily update it.

  22. Hi - I'm trying to hide post titles, but only for specific posts, not all. For another theme I was using the CSS to do this was: #post-1126 h2 { display:none!important; } I tried this, but it didn't work in Pagelines. Can you tell me the proper CSS tweak for this to work? Thank you!
