We will be making updates to the content size to bring it down as well. Please let me know if there is anything that can be done to address the loading issues found here within PageLines Plugins. https://gtmetrix.com/reports/goldenstategreens.com/5rnupbNu Thanks
  2. I've read many topics on this issue, but I can't find the same situation and a good solution: my website is www.realwayoflife.com both the public website and the wordpress administration are very slow the hosting is bluehost, the basic shared hosting they told me that the website is slow due to image size and caching, but they can't explain why also the wp-administration is slow I reduced the active plug-ins, but nothing changed I will try a caching plug-in (but I think it can solve only the website frontend) can you help me? thanks
  3. Hi, I just can't figure out why my WP backend si so slow, for the PL part ("PL dashboard", Site options, Page options...). This issue was alrealdy raised in forums (e.g. : http://www.pagelines.com/forum/topic/24964-admin-panel-is-slow/), but I was asked to create a new topic. Anyway, I made so many tests with so many settings I'm a bit lost atm, and it's probably better to start from scratch and to stick to my own situation. 1. My configuration at this very moment is : WP 3.5.1 Pagelines 2.4 All plugins deactivated except Askimet and PL sections Pagelines debug mode enabled : http://www.erwanlescop.fr/?pldebug=1 Shared hosted server (max 80 Mb for PHP RAM) + Cloudflare CDN & WCO enabled Memory limit in wp-config : define('WP_MEMORY_LIMIT', '64M') Php info : http://www.erwanlescop.fr/info.php 2. As a result : Page load time : 1.32 s --> http://tools.pingdom.com/fpt/#!/dUf8tMKpp/http://www.erwanlescop.fr Time from WP frontend to backend : slow, IMO --> video http://screencast.com/t/cNEjyqGs2B Time from "WP dashboard" to "PL dashboard" : very slow, IMO --> video http://screencast.com/t/V6ZvzHxgXBaT Time from "PL dashboard" to "Site options" : very very slow IMO --> video http://screencast.com/t/EM8N9upS Time from "Site options" to "Page options" : VERY VERY VERY slow IMO --> video http://screencast.com/t/5ay6spUas These measurements are not very different with other browsers + I have a pretty good internet connection bandwidth (donwload : 8 MB) + made with nothing else opened than Firefox on my computer. And they are worse with something like twelve well know and reliable plugins activated such as Jetpack or Disqus (whilst I thought for a while that THIS was the problem, versus PL only with no plugins). Hence : 1. Any explanation ? Do I miss something obvious... ? 2. My under development blog is and will remain low trafficked : could you confirm me it IS suppposed to be enough for Pagelines (I read so many many different, contradictory assumptions pertaining RAM requirements in the forums) ? Many many thanks in advance. Best regards.
  4. Admin panel is slow

I am new to PageLines and I am not a developer or programmer. I am a novice. Please talk to me like I were a 5 year old. No, wait, 5 year olds may know more computer talk than I do. With that out of the way, here is my problem, I just installed PageLines recently. When I am in the dashboard and I click Site Options (as an example) sometimes the lag time is 90 seconds or more before the panel displays on the right. If I go back to Page Options (for example) it might be 4 to 9 seconds before Page Options appear. I have deactivated ALL plugins. I have activated a new theme (namely Twenty Twelve) and the slowness issue is greatly improved. I have the latest version of WP running 3.5.1 Here is an exchange I had with the Host (Dreamhost). I have not figured out how to allow, deny the IP addresses yet, but as I said previously, when I deactivated PageLines the admin panel sped up considerably. Is this a unique issue? Have others experienced this? What are your ideas? Hello, On Mon, 28 Jan 2013, you wrote: > When I'm in admin the response is awfully slow. It has been as slow as 90 > seconds. Hopefully you'll be able to offer a solution or move you on > to another server > jdoughall > Hello J, thanks for contacting us. I have looked at your issue and I have found the following data on your site: These are the IP addresses that are hitting your site the most: 25 32 869 You can see the disparity of the amount of times that the IP address above has hit in relation to the other IP addresses. I recommend blocking it if you do not recognize the IP address: wiki.dreamhost.com/Htaccess_file_overview#Deny.2FAllow_Certain_IP_Addresses These are the scrips/files/plugins that are being called the most: 20 /wp-content/themes/pagelines/ admin/js/jquery.effects.js 20 /wp-content/themes/pagelines/admin/js/jquery.layout.js 20 /wp-content/themes/pagelines/admin/js/script.common.js 20 /wp-content/themes/pagelines/admin/js/script.settings.js 20 /wp-content/themes/pagelines/css/objects.css 25 /wp-admin/admin.php 39 /wp-includes/js/thickbox/thickbox.css 50 /wp-content/themes/pagelines/admin/css/admin.css 52 /wp-admin/css/colors-fresh.min.css 84 /wp-login.php I do not believe that the scripts that are being called would affect the performance of the site as much as the IP address. I highly recommend you block the IP address that is hitting your site and see if that improves the performance of the site. You may also want to contact the theme creator to see if the amount of calls to the theme is normal. If you have any other questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us.
  5. Hello, I've been using the Pagelines Framework for about 8 or 9 months now and love the product... I recently was in development of a new site www.sunglassdisplaycase.com and the websites loading times are so slow. I've tried changing the memory setting on the hosting platform, wc3 Cache, and numerous other things w/ no avail... My question is what can I do to speed up my website??? Thanks, Nick
  6. I'm just starting work on a new website and am having slowness already. Please have a look: http://tools.pingdom.com/fpt/#!/cTzyhL5mT/http://heathertaylorhome.com "Pagelines Compiled CSS" is taking a second just "waiting" and is almost 200k in size? That's huge for a CSS file, no?

  8. Extremly Slow Loading Time

I have the same problem with my website but I just started! I have less than one page done. My site is so slow that I haven't even able to finish one page! I was reading previous posting and everybody installed the W3 Total Cache plugin so I was about to install it BUT the video tutorial for W3 Total Cache plugin says that it should be installed until the website is done. What can I do? I have my hosting in godaddy and someone told me that godaddy was very slow in running wordpress. What can I do? I am desperate!!! www.canadaes.com.mx
  9. Site loads slow

Hi, so my site is slow and I read up in the forums and did the following: - W3 Cache was already installed (Minify, Browser Cache, CloudFlare and CDN enabled) - installed CloudFlare - installed MaxCDN the site was still slow. So I added the following code to wp-config. define( 'LESS_FILE_MODE', true ); That helped a lot but unfortunately made my site crash for some users so had to delete it again. Now I increased php.ini to 256mB (BlueHost). My site is still slow. What am I missing? And why made the above code make my site crash? This is driving me nuts. Any suggestions are very welcome. Thanks
  10. I was asked to take over the management of a website recently. I immediately switched them over to the pagelines framework and deactivated as many of their unnecessary plugins as possible. I then took the following steps based on the info & info suggested by the client's host (Hostmmonster) support: updated wordpress, pagelines, plugins installed and setup W3 Total Cache turned on gzip compression with htaccess optimize/repair database turned on css minify in pagelines advanced ran smushit on images setup cloudflare After I ran through all these steps, I contacted hostmonster again and they told me the server was not slow that it is the website. Images too big and blah blah.... There are only a few images on the website outside of the gallery page, and I optimized them with photoshop then smushit. I don't believe this is the problem. I did successfully get the site from a D score to an A score with Yslow and a B score with Gtmetrix. However, it seems that there are a lot of errors in reference to CSS problems and the obvious problem is the site is loading way too slow. The load time is not consistent either. Sometimes it is 7-8s and sometimes over 30s!!! I am at a loss. Obviously a dedicated server would help, but that may not be an option at this time. if I could go back to the host with two A scores, then they absolutely could not blame it on the site. What do you guys think? I would really appreciate some good advice here. Here is the Gtmetrix report: http://gtmetrix.com/...gn.com/tzQViIW1
