  1. I used a two column layout to get a logo and the social icons into the header but I also need a background image to sit to the right of the header content. I can't use another media box because I need the social icons to sit in this area.    Using the background image option in the header didn't seem to work  - it was scaled up which was ok but I couldn't get it in the right position.    Next option:  I created a class and used CSS to get the image loaded but the positioning just doesn't work - ( I also tried with %).    .header { background-image:url('http://nicholaspealldesign1.com.gridhosted.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2013/08/background3.png'); background-repeat:no-repeat; background-position:top right; }   This is the page:  http://nicholaspealldesign1.com.gridhosted.co.uk/   Maybe someone has better way of doing this? This is the header spec I received from the client which is just a guide.... http://nicholaspealldesign1.com.gridhosted.co.uk/header/   And a PS. the current setting isn't so bad in chrome but in Firefox it doesn't render correctly at all - the social icons knock the background graphic to the left.

  4. Nav Bar Shadow

I am building a blog and I am trying to get the effect of a full screen width nav bar/header. I have used a background image and it worked pretty well, but now I need to get rid of the shadow around the nav bar so that it all blends in. You can see the site here: http://www.sarahwenger.com/ Would it be better to just make the bar transparent? If so, I have tried using information from the following post: http://www.pagelines.com/forum/topic/23625-remove-boarder-from-transparent-nav-bar/?hl=nav+bar with no luck. Thanks in advance for your help! Sarah

  8. Multiple Levels in Nav Bar

Hi, I am trying to figure out how to get multiple levels to drop down in the nav bar. Currently I have a main page --> linked to a content page --> linked to another content page. On the nav bar I see the main page along the top (home, blog, main, main, etc) then when I scroll over it drops down one level to my first content page. When I scroll to the first content page on the drop down I would like it to show the next level of content pages. On my personal website (www.theworldofmark.com) it does what I need it too (but this is on the platform pro framework... not the newer pagelines pro framework). Please help! asa-sales.com Mark Brown

  11. Hi there I am having trouble with the nav bar and levels. I understand you can't go down 3 levels as per other posts however, I have a problem when I add a level to a parent/top level. When adding a page to a top level, the top page is non "clickable" i.e you can't get to it. To get over the issue I have had to add the subject page as a sub page. Does that make sense? I can't get a image to show you and as the site isn't published yet so not sure how I can show the problem. Site is (jogging-explained.com) Can you point me to a post that deals with this or advise what I am doing wrong? I have other Pageline sites and not had this problem so know I am doing something wrong but can't find it. rgds Znsols

  13. Hi I'm currently working on a site for a client and they would like me to align the drop down menus on the main nav bar with the main menu item. They would also like the width of the drop downs to be reduced a little too. Please could you point me in the right direction of where I need to head to edit the css? Attached is a mock up image of what I'm wanting to do. I'm using the latest release of Pagelines and the Base Child Theme. http://justinphnoble.com/demo/ Thanks Justin

  15. We are using PlatfromPro 1.5.3. The navigation bar and banner are not showing up on mobile devices. After searching the forum for clues I still can;t figure out why. I've tried different themes and have used the switcher settings to no effect. I've treid different mobile themes as well. Still, I can't believe this is a complicated issue. Is there a simple way to enable the banner and nav bar on my site? http://peoplescongress.org [email protected] or [email protected]

  19. OK, had to set a background color of WHITE to make the menu/nav bar text more visible. But the color stretches out to the right beyond the width of the content+sidebar area (and feature slider area, etc) see the example here: http://pilates.trythiswebsite.com/ tried everything I know to fix it to a standard 1100 px. Any suggestsion?
  20. Hi folks, I've tried everything... I've searched through the forums, docs, etc, tried all the CSS I could find in here and nothing... I can't find the way to customize the colors of my nav bars properly. The URL: http://designsbyfelicia.com There's 2 nav bars I'm customizing: the brandnav (purple header section with logo and nav), and the classic nav (black nav bar) Here are the problems: 1. on the Brandnav, I've managed to code everything I wanted properly except the "li" active state when the user is on a child page. For example, the "services" page has a couple of child pages. When a user is in one of those, there's a white background in the "services" link that I can't find a way to remove (should be transparent, or the same purple color as background). Go to this child page so you can see: http://designsbyfelicia.com/services/custom-furniture-cabinetry/ 2. On the Black Nav bar, I'm trying to simply do this: - no background color on hover - text color gray - text color hover: light purple - text color active: dark purple That's all!!! And yet nothing I code seems to have an effect... Here's my CSS code for these two sections at the moment: #brandnav { background-color: #7e60c4; border-top: 1px solid #9c85d2 !important; border-bottom: 1px solid #000000 !important; } #brandnav .content-pad { padding: 0em 0 1em 0; padding: 10px 10px !important; } I appreciate your help with this! We're going live on Friday with the site so I need to resolve this ASAP. I would also like this opportunity to suggest something to you for a future update: Your framework is so advanced, it great! Customizing Nav colors should not be this hard! I've spent hours and hours on this... Why isn't there a color picker in the admin setting for each nav bar section??? Just include color pickers for text color, background, border, and for normal, hover and active states and you should be able to shake this issue off for good! (I've noticed it's a recurrent issue people have) Thanks again! Beny Schonfeld
  21. Customize Nav Bar

Hello All, I was seeing if there is a way to put my business phone number into the nav bar of my site (and look good). I don't mind getting rid of search bar if needed. I'm looking for a way to have the phone number in front of the visitor at all times. Thanks
  22. I updated recently to Pagelines Frameworks 2.3, since then my website's fixed nav bar and regular nav bar (below the header) are not working properly on some versions of Internet Explorer. The issue is twofold: 1. The fixed nav bar at the top is visible; however, the links on it to other pages on the site are not present. 2. The nav bar under the header is not visible; links and all. My machine's IE 9 is showing everything fine. The computers with IE 8 and down are having the issues listed above (other browsers are showing no problems). My question is the following: How can I make these two nav bars work more consistently with Internet Explorer? I would appreciate any assistance as the content on the site needs to be accessible for it contains timely and important information to the people in our community; especially at this time of year. Best, Robert http://www.charlottesvillevolleyball.com
