  1. We have been customizing sites with the old framework for about a year and loved it.  We could easily add hooks into the site (for example a line under the post title or a footer design at the bottom of the site) but now it seems we cannot do that without going through all the hoops of creating a child theme?    Please tell me I am missing something here.  We have been with pagelines for almost a year now and have used the custom CSS code plus the hooker plugin to make some awesome custom sites.  Now, it seems a lot more complicated?    I have read the docs on hooks a couple times and this just seems way more complicated than it used to be.  Are we getting hooker back for DMS?   And I cannot even attempt to create a child theme because the base theme is not available for download.     Please help!
  2. Hiya,   I've tried several different ways to center the main navigation for our site, but it still prefers to be a left-handed wallflower.    I used the code from 'sexy snips' and some code found in the forum from a user who sought to do the same thing last year. I even tried a couple of plugins.    I have a large number of plug-ins on my site so I deactivated everything and then cleared the cache as per some forums I read earlier. Still no love.    Thoughts? Suggestions? Code for the custom code area? (also, I put the custom code in the CSS Rules section). To be clear I have no knowledge of CSS at all. When I have time I will attempt learn, but for now I'm relying on those far more clever than myself. lol   Please let me know.   Thanks!   Noob. (aka Mary)
  3. [attachment=1256:Screen shot 2013-07-18 at 12.48.02 AM.png]I am trying to configure my classic navigation bar to eliminate the search bar. I've already unchecked the box under headers and footers, but because I've entered custom code to also center the navigation bar (found on another thread here), it appears to have overridden the original setting. Here is the code I have entered in the custom code area labeled CSS/LESS:   #site .navigation_wrap .main_nav { margin-right: 0; }#site .main_nav ul { text-align: center; float: none; }#site .main_nav ul > li { float: none; display: inline-block; }   Is there any way to keep the classic navigation centered while also eliminating the search box?   My website url is: www.hawlieohe.com   I have also attached a jpg here showing what it looks like now. Thank you in advance for your help!   Hawlie
  4. Hello,   I tried to use the 'sexy snips' code to center the navigation for simplicitate, a couple of plug-ins (now deleted) from wp, as well as other code found in the forums. alas, nothing has worked.    just to be clear, before i posted to the forums i deactivated all of my plugins. i tried the code in every one of the sections available (since i figured it was possible i put it in the wrong 'section'). so far, no love.    is anyone able to provide some simple code i can put in the 'custom code section' which might work with this theme to center the navigation?    oh, and while i'm on here (heheheh) is there any way to switch to very simple text navigation? the buttons for this theme are rather 'bulky'. if not, no worries. i'm more concerned about centering the nav in any case.   by the way, everyone who's responded on these forums have been awesome. it's such a relief (and very refreshing) for those of us with no coding skills to be helped in such a friendly way. thanks again. :)    i'm so glad i bought this software. i was terrified i'd end up without support again. - let me know if you need a testimonial.    cheers, mary
  5. I am unable to change the padding in the main column. When I change .mcolumn-pad { padding-bottom: 0; padding-left: 5px; padding-right: 5px; padding-top: 0;} in firebug, it changes the padding. When I paste the code into custom code, or into PageLESS, it does nothing. I WAS, however, able to change .mcolumn-pad { border-right: 1px dotted #000000; margin-right: 0px; border-left: 1px dotted #000000; margin-left: 0px;} the margins. I replaced the video that was in the main column with a static image, and used FlushLess. It won't work. capemyers.com
  6. I finally upgraded (about a year late) to framework, and I am impressed. Congrats to the developers. I am working on my migration offline so I can take my time with it, but I ran into something I need help with. In platformpro, I had a piece of code that I used to turn on special highlighting on my primary and secondary navbars. See example here: http://batonrougecounseling.net/baton-rouge-therapists-approach/client-centered-therapy/ The primary nav menu item stays lit orange and the secondary page you're currently on stays lit orange. Neato eh? Well, in migrating to framework, I have decided to go with the fixed navbar for my primary navigation, and then the secondary navbar below the header as before. But, the variables (or elements) are different from platformpro and so what I need is some help changing the elements in this following code so that it affects the fixed navbar: body #primary-nav a{color:#e1dddd;background-color:transparent} body #primary-nav .current-menu-item a{color:#fad53e;font-weight:400;background-color:transparent;} body #primary-nav .main-nav li a:hover {color:#ffffff;font-weight:400;background:transparent;} body #secondnav a{color:#e1dddd;background-color:transparent} body #secondnav .current-menu-item a{color:#fad53e;font-weight:400;background-color:transparent;} body #secondnav li a:hover {color:#ffffff;font-weight:400;background:transparent;} body #header #primary-nav .main-nav li.current-page-ancestor a, body #header #primary-nav .main-nav li.current_page_item a, body #header #primary-nav .main-nav li.current-page-ancestor ul a, body #header #primary-nav .main-nav li.current_page_item ul a, body #header #primary-nav .main-nav li.current_page_item a{color:#fad53e; background-color:transparent;} Sorry, I realized I should have posted this in the Customization section. Can't seem to change it myself. Thanks in advance, Todd
  7. Hey all, After updating to 2.3.5 my CSS/LESS RUles Window started to re size dynamically according to css code. Its kinda annoying I must say because while scrolling down it shifts width and that bring some trouble finding stuff you need. I use Chrome. I upgraded 3 sites to 2.3.5 but it seems to be happening only on one site with 2.3.5... And I liked better the earlier version of this window that could be re sized by hand because I could strech this window to full width for clear view. It should be a fixed size or (as in older one) optionally re sized by hand... Hand resized window was better, now color coding looks good but this work area is to small... Any one having similar issue ? best butcher
  8. Css Custom Code Doesn't Work

Hi there, I have problem with custom code: I set mani different code but doesn't work. The code set is for made more bigger the gravity forms insert font and customize pricing columns plugins. What doesn't work in those code is only the font dimension setting. Thanks for fast replay, Stefano Website: HERE
  9. I've been trying to copy and paste within the Custom Code area of the Site Options, but it's not working. Nor can I copy code from within the Custom Code area and paste it anywhere else (e.g., in a text editor). I've deactivated all non-PageLines plugins but the problem remains. I know that I used to be able to do this - and, of course, should be able to do this - and am wondering if it's related to the 2.3 update. Has anyone else noticed this problem?
