  1. Hi,   I use the PL color variable @pl-base in my custom LESS, so that some customizations (e.g. PL or personal LESS mixins) immediately take in account any change in global settings.   This @pl-base variable is described as "Page background color" in documentation http://support.pagelines.me/docs/miscellaneous/less/: actually, it seems to me it's the "Content Background" color defined in Site Options \ Color Control.   If they exist (I never managed to find them in documentation, including the "PHP Cross Reference of PageLines Framework"), what are the PL LESS variables referring to "Body background" color and (real) "Page background" color?   I most certainly miss something considering there are variables for all other colors defined in Site Options (e.g. @pl-text, @pl-header,...).   Many thanks in advance!
  2. Hi i´m trying to change only the text color in header.     Tks
  3. My page background color is translucent for some reason. It was working perfectly until today when I started to work from a defferent computer. I can change the color of the page background back to white and it will work until I open the pagelines dashboard again. If I save any settings change in the pagelines dashboard my page background will become translucent again.   This happened after I chose to hide the watermark if that helps at all.   I had installed the css lite plugin earlier and the color selection on that also stopped working. I tried to delete the plugin and reinstall and that didn't help anything. After that I deleted it entirely and that also did not help.   I tried to fix this from my original computer just to see if that would help...but it didn't.   I have done some custimization with the pagelines customize plugin but none of it seems to be something that would effect the page background.   I attached an image of it working and not working and of my color settings page, custom code page, and installed plugins page.   I found that there was a difference in the codes and added this to my custom css box. It works, but the css lite still doesn't and my color control still doesn't without it. body #page .page-canvas {     background-color: rgb(255, 255, 255);}   Let me know if this is something you have seen before.   Thanks, Connor
  4. Hello My first post here at the forums. I've been looking through the different sections of the forum to find a way to add the option to select size and color of a specific text in a custom section. I've created a section and I'm able to get it to show me a dropdown of all fonts available - this works fine. But I would like to be able to select both font size and color from for the same section. How is this possible? Thanks Kind regards Jesper
  5. Hi I am trying to use a multi color site title. I know that that the simplest way to go about this is to put each work in the title in a span of its own and then style them in my css. I however don't know where to go to modify this. As right now the site title is within the H1 tag I think that some modification of the php or a function would do the trick but am not familiar with how to add or modify this in. I'm using: Base theme Business Branding Pagelines Customize Any Help would be appreciated greatly.

Never seen something like this before...could you help please ? Thank you very much original code : .dropdown-menu li > a:hover, .dropdown-menu li > a:focus, .dropdown-submenu:hover > a, .dropdown-menu li.current-menu-item > a { background-color: #0081C2; background-image: -moz-linear-gradient(center top , #0088CC, #0077B3); background-repeat: repeat-x; color: #FFFFFF; text-decoration: none; } new code : .dropdown-menu li > a:hover, .dropdown-menu li > a:focus, .dropdown-submenu:hover > a, .dropdown-menu li.current-menu-item > a { background-color: #333333; background-image: -moz-linear-gradient(center top , #333333, #000000); background-repeat: repeat-x; color: #FFFFFF; text-decoration: none; } my web is www.mrtripper.com
  7. I am trying to change the background color of the drop down menu in my main navigation. When you hover over the drop down menues the color is blue but I need it to be a different color. I know it's a link, but I want to change the color to something else. Here is a link to the site: http://www.kestlemedia.com/kooki/ I've used firebug and google chrome to try target the html/css. I've attached what they give me. When I try to add css to target this I can't get anything to change. I'm not sure what exactly I should be targeting I guess. Would appreciate some guidance on this. I've tried a few variation but mostly along these lines: .dropdown-menu li.current-menu-item a {background-color:#ffffff;} - seems this should work but have also tried all kinds of other ones. .dropdown-menu li.current-menu-item a:hover {background-color:#ffffff;} .dropdown-menu li a:hover{background-color:#ffffff;} .nav-collapse collapse{background-color:#ffffff;} ul #menu-main-navigation .font-sub navline pldrop pull-left{background-color:#ffffff;} Thanks so much. Lorraine
  8. http://www.couturemotionmedia.com/dev/ I'm looking at the css for the hover color and I'm not smart enough to figure out which element I actually need to change. I want to change the hover color on the menu from that blue to a color that jives with the rest of my site. Any chance someone with better firebug skills than I can help me out?
  9. I would like to know how it is possible to change the background color as well as the font colors on a particularly page or post. Is it possible to assign color changes to a specific template so it can be used repeatedly? I use a black background with white type for my blog site and posts, but for longer essays, I would like a light background with a dark font. http://www.randallpacker.com
  10. Hello, I need help with the header: 1. Change the color behind my uploaded logo to black 2. Center the logo (I will not be using the area to the right for social media icons) 3. Remove the space/padding around the logo so that it is flush with the top of the screen, the nav bar, and left and right margins -- Actually if I did this, I guess changing the color behind it would be irrelevant because it would take up the entire space. See http://severxance.com/ I am trying to get it to look similar to the attached mockup. Thank you.
  11. I need to change the font used overall in my site. I've downloaded the font and changed the css. I can see via chrome and firebug that the site is looking for the font but can't find it (see attached). I've uploaded what I think are the right font files to the font folder where the other fonts are stored. Is this the correct place to put them? Where should they be so that the website can find them. Thanks so much. Lorraine site url: http://www.kestlemedia.com/kooki/books/
  12. I want my widgets to each have a different look and feel. I have managed to change the background, text and border colors of all my widgets as a group. But as soon as I am trying to customize them individually it won't work.
  13. On the page / post admin interface. on the PageLines Meta Settings it will be nice, on the background section to have also the option to choose a different color for background of that page. It will create colorfull websites. For example, the user can upload a semitransparent background noise / pattern image and choosing a different color for background of the page the user will create a website that will inspire, make it relate to their national flag, make it available for children by making them guess the background color to educate, make the user sink deeper, like creating an ocean floor website, from light blue to dark blue if the user chooses the menu items in order like page 1, then page 2 and so... There are so many things a different color per page can be that easily selected without further css setup from the user.
  14. I am attempting to change the header color to: rgba(94,66,52,1) Here is the css I have used: #page .navbar.pl-color-black-trans { background-color: rgba(94,66,52,1); background-image: -moz-linear-gradient(top,rgba(94,66,52,1),rgba(94,66,52,1)); background-image: -ms-linear-gradient(top,rgba(94,66,52,1),rgbargba(94,66,52,1)); background-image: -webkit-gradient(linear,0 0,0 100%,from(rgba(94,66,52,1)),to(rgba(94,66,52,1))); background-image: -webkit-linear-gradient(top,rgba(94,66,52,1),rgba(94,66,52,1)); background-image: -o-linear-gradient(top,rgba(94,66,52,1),rgba(94,66,52,1)); background-image: linear-gradient(top,rgba(94,66,52,1),rgba(94,66,52,1)); background-repeat: repeat-x; filter:progid:DXImageTransform.Microsoft.gradient(startColorstr=rgba(94,66,52,1), endColorstr=rgba(94,66,52,1), GradientType=0); border-top: 1px solid rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.9); filter:progid:DXImageTransform.Microsoft.gradient(startColorStr=#444444,EndColorStr=#222222); } .navbar .navline > li > a { color: rgba(94,66,52,1); display: block; float: none; line-height: 19px; padding: 9px 12px 10px; text-decoration: none; text-shadow: 0 -1px 0 rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.25); Any help would be greatly appreciated. 15. Hi, There is a caret in the navbar to indicate that you should click to see the dropdown menu. I am struggling to change its color in the CSS - but I can't figure out where the style is being set. Advice please? Here's the path to the element... html.mti-repaint > body.home.page.page-id-16.page-template-default.logged-in.admin-bar.custom.responsive.pagelines-template-theme.default.full_width.prettify-on.pagename-home.desktop.firefox.customize-support > div#site.fullwidth > div#page.thepage > div.page-canvas > header#header.container-group > div.outline > section#navbar.container.no_clone.section-navbar.fix > div.content > div.content-pad > div.navbar.fix.navbar-content-width.pl-color-trans > div.navbar-inner > div.navbar-content-pad.fix > div.nav-collapse.collapse > ul#menu-main.font-sub.navline.pldrop.pull-left > li#m1.page_item.page-item-31.dropdown > a.dropdown-toggle > b.caret
  16. Installed PageLines Free Theme (lite) and am building entire site utilizing WP (previously, designed sites with CSS, etc., then loaded WP in /blog folder and customized theme to match site) Working Site address is: www.tamrahjo.com I'm trying to look at different choices for the Main Nav bar - I update the Nav Bar Theme and Alignment in Site Options >Nav Bar - and when I surf through using the menu buttons, sometimes the menu shows up blue, or gray, or black transparent - - tried changing to red, just to see and never could view the red theme. I've doubled-checked that I'm Saving Options each time. I set the header area to Branding and Nav Bar in Pagelines>Site Header area. If someone could please advise if either the W3 Super Cache or some setting in my browswers (viewing in both Mozilla Firefox 17 and IE 9 currently) is holding on to old loaded pages and I need to change setting to allow a full re-load, I'd appreciate it. Sorry for such Newbie question - I'm use to designing in Dreamweaver and uploading/viewing - not building directly online via web browser window and have never encountered this kind of issue before - - not sure where to start troubleshooting - PageLines - WP - Plug Ins or Browser Settings - Thanks for any/all assistance! 17. Changing color of NavBar

Hi there, I'm looking for a way to change the background color of the NavBar on my site. Currently, I see only those few themes (black, light grey, blue, etc) -- and ideally, I would just like a white background. Tried a few things I read in this forum (firebug, some css code), but so far nothing is working to change it on my site! Was wondering if there was something I was missing, a way to just disable the theme? Thanks! Jen www.iamtheeverydaygirl.com
  18. Is there a way to get rid of those light grey ovals behind each feature name (http://www.onebarrel.ca/one-barrel/) so that only the words appear in the feature nav?
  19. Hi, I'm sure this should be obvious, but how can I change the NavBar backgournd color (beyond the pre-set options of blue, green, light grey, etc.) in 2.2.5? I'm trying to figure out LESS, but it is slow going. Thanks, Mike
  20. Is there a way to set a custom color, eg "white", for the content of a single page? I have a form plugin that displays it's content on a page that I can specify. I'd like to be able to create a special page that has a special background color (that no other page has) in it's content area. Is there an easy custom code for this, either css or on the page itself so that the content will display on this background color? Thank you for any help you can give!
  21. Folks, Per one of the other threads in this forum, I have used the following code to set the background color for the page content to 80% white: body{} .canvas .page-canvas, .thepage .content, .sf-menu li, #primary-nav ul.sf-menu a:focus, .sf-menu a:hover, .sf-menu a:active, .commentlist ul.children .even { background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0.80); }[/html] While this worked in Firefox, it has no effect in IE8 which shows a completely transparent page/content background, allowing the large image background to shine through and reduce readability. At the same time, the input fields on the contact form seem to have gone black (#1a1a1a, actually). I've searched the main CSS file and can find no reference to 1a1a1a. Are the two issues related? I have no idea. The site is live, however, so any expedient advice is appreciated. The site is http://eastlansingallergy.org . Thank you in advance! Matt
  22. I have added new items to my primary navigation from categories (not pages). Now, I have two different box colors, one when I click on pages, and, a different one when I click on categories--as part of the navigation menu, please help. Following is the URL, http://themedcircle.com/
  23. Hello All! First, a quick disclaimer: I do not know how to write CSS and have only a basic knowledge of HTML. However, I've become pretty well-versed in creating a website using CMS and am comfortable with the PageLines framework. Now that that's out of the way, here's the link to my website (still under construction) www.dcdips.com. I want to make it so that when you mouseover the main nav menu at the top that the text will be white and the box around it will be red. I went to the design control tab and changed the colors on everything listed and it is not creating that effect. I have the "Custom CSS" plugin activated, but I don't know what to put in there. Can someone tell me how to do this or what to put on the CSS page? Thank You!
  24. nav color

Hello Pagelines, I love your products. I am having a couple of minor problems setting up my sites and am writing to request assistance. My site ultimativity.net/community displays a blue navbar. I attempted to replicated the settings on another of my sites, ultimativity.net/network. I cannot get the navbar to display as blue, even though I selected blue in the Nav tab under Site Options. Unfortunately, I did not find instructions for the the Nav on the pagelines wiki under the Site Options section. http://www.pagelines.com/wiki/Main_Page Any help you can provide will be appreciated. Nathan
  25. How can I change the search bar color and focus color to be different than the page background color scheme that I have selected? I have a dark brown as my page background color, but it makes the search bar dark as well which drowns out the search text. http://couturevilletest.tk421grafix.com/wordpress/
