I am looking to create a new portfolio site. I have never used Wordpress before but would love to learn. I can code for the most part but I recently purchased Platform Pro thinking it would be easy to use. Well, where do I begin?? I want to start playing around with some templates and such, but all I have is a folder filled with millions of PHP files. I am no good with PHP. Someone, please help and give me a starting point? I am so confused. Thanks so much.

The beauty of PPro is that you don't HAVE to code, but you can if you want. You need to start by installing the theme by uploading both the full theme and the base theme from the themes page in wordpress. Once the theme is uploaded, activate it and start playing around with the new settings link on the left-hand side of the menu in the Wordpress dashboard. Spend some time getting familiar with the dashboard layout before you go nuts with customizing.
