Hello. WPML language switcher does not work in the "drop-down list" mode. it obscures by the the categories item, as if he was lying on the back layer. here's the link:

I searched around and this is a common problem with the WPML language switcher. Have you tried placing it somewhere else to see if the overlap still occurs?

I tried to put it in the footer, sidebar... anywhere, the result is the same. The fact is that before this i use the Atahualpa theme and there was no such problems.

it is. and when you hover on it, the list reveals BEHIND the categories item, so you will not see other languages ??‹??‹(Russian and German)

WPML creators said: "The language switcher is wrapped in the DIV ID lang_sel. By default, WPML applies attribute to it but the theme's CSS probably overrides it." Must use something like: DIV ID lang_sel z-index = 1000 DIV ID categories z-index = 500 Please help me to solve this issue.

z-index is not the problem,because the #lang_sel div is not set to position:absolute. You can do one of two things:

1. Set

to

and the add some

to the div below it.
2. Set the height of #

to something higher than it is, like 60px.

Also, you should either add this in your Custom Code -> Custom CSS area in your admin, or activate the base child theme and add it to base.css. If you add it to style.css you will lose your changes when you upgrade.

Here's what version 1 should look like:

Add this to custom CSS or the base.css file in the child theme.

Catrina, it works! thank you! but margin-top for the div.widget-pad moves down both sidebars. i need this action only for one sidebar (left). something like: div.widget-leftsidebar {margin-top: 20px;}
