Copyright Text Appearance and Positioning

Question

Posted · Report post

Hello, I entered copyright information in footer.php per your suggestion in the forum here: http://www.pagelines.com/forum/topic.php?id=3062 It worked well and is a good start, however I would still like to: 1. Center the copyright information in the footer. 2. Add my company logo below the copyright information. (The logo does not have a URL. It looks like a "B" and can be seen in the upper left corner of the site header.) 3. Change the copyright information text font to Arial. 4. Change the copyright information text to black. 5. Make the copyright text about 66% of its current size. My website is: business-english-editors.com Thank you so much for all of your help with my site! Best, Tim

First of all, what did you place in the footer file, i mean what is the html structure. If you add a div around this area and add a class you can apply this css: ` .your-class { color: black; font-family: arial; font-size: 1.3em; margin: 0px auto; text-align: center; width: 960px; } ` Also if I see that part then I could help with the logo part too.

Thank you, Adam. Could you please suggest how to add a div and a class to the CSS specified above? I do not know how to do that. Below, I have copied the code from my footer.php The only thing I added was: Copyright ?© 2011. Business English Editors. All Rights Reserved.

<?php
	/*

		FOOTER

		This file controls the ending HTML </body></html> and common graphical elements in your site footer.
		You can control what shows up where using WordPress and PageLines PHP conditionals

		This theme copyright (C) 2008-2010 PageLines

	*/

	// Deal with BuddyPress and BuddyPress Template Pack
	if(pagelines_is_buddypress_page()):?>
			</div>
		</div>
	<?php endif; ?>
					</div> <!-- END #dynamic-content -->

					<div id="morefoot">
					<?php
						do_action('pagelines_morefoot', 'morefoot'); // Hook
					?>
					</div>
					<div class="clear"></div>

				</div> <!-- END #page-main from header -->
			</div> <!-- END #page-canvas from header -->
		</div> <!-- END #page from header -->

		<div  id="footer">
			<div class="outline fix">
				<?php do_action('pagelines_footer', 'footer'); // Hook ?>
				<div class="clear"></div>
	                        Copyright ?© 2011. Business English Editors. All Rights Reserved.
				<?php if(pagelines_option('no_credit') || !VDEV): // Thank you for supporting PageLines ?>
					<div id="cred" class="pagelines">
						" title="<?php echo THEMENAME;?> by PageLines">
							" alt="<?php echo THEMENAME;?> by PageLines" />

					</div>
				<?php endif;?>
				<div class="clear"></div>
			</div>
		</div>
	</div>
	<?php
		print_pagelines_option('footerscripts'); // Load footer scripts option
		wp_footer(); // Hook (WordPress)
	?>
	</body>
	</html>[/code]

The DIV class you want to add to the footer to fit the CSS that Adam provided is this: `

Copyright ?© 2011. Business English Editors. All Rights Reserved.

` To make sure that DIV class appears the way you want it to, copy and paste this CSS into your custom CSS box: ` .copyright { color: black; font-family: arial; font-size: 1.3em; margin: 0px auto; text-align: center; width: 960px; } `
