Individual classes for anchor tags

Question

Posted · Report post

Hi, I want to control the anchor tag within the h2 on my Blog page http://www.davidcosgrove.com/blog/

<h2 class="entry-title">WordPress Mobile plugin</h2>
I set the site anchor tags like this:
a:link, a:visited { font-family: arial, verdana, helvetica, sans-serif; color: #ff6600; font-size: 13px; font-weight: bold; text-decoration: underline; background: transparent; } a:hover { font-family: arial, verdana, helvetica, sans-serif; color: #ffffff; background-color:#ff6600; font-size: 13px; font-weight: bold; text-decoration: underline; } a:active { font-family: arial, verdana, helvetica, sans-serif; color: #ffffff; background-color:#ff6600; font-size: 13px; font-weight: bold; text-decoration: underline; }

and I cannot find a way to apply a separate class to the anchor that is enclosed by the <h2> tag. Thank you for your help. firebug-ss.jpg

Hi David - Just the h2s with a class of "entry-title", correct? You can use this:

.entry-title a{/*styles here*/}
	.entry-title a:hover{/*styles here*/}
If you notice your styles aren't being picked up, trying using the "!important" declaration. For instance:
.entry-title a{color:#000000 !important;}
