Hide a line in blog summary

Best Answer James Giroux , 07 September 2014 - 09:44 PM

Ah.  I see what you're saying now.  the way to get rid of that is to use the excerpt feature of WordPress and just put in the lines you want as your excerpt.  That'll override the actual content that's showing up.

Hi All

I have a gallery with a photographer credit in a blog post and just below it the main text for the blog post.

I want to hide the credit from the summary that appears on the blog list page. Is there a method of telling pagelines to ignore certain text in when garbing text for the the summary form a blog post?

Refer to summary on the Kate, Brian & Teddy post here:

to see what I mean

Thanks

Keith

Hey Keith,

Can you be more specific?  I'm not sure what you're trying to hide.  I don't see a photographer credit on the blog archive page.

Thanks,

James.

Hi James

Thanks for the reply. If you look at the Brian, Kate and Teddy post in the description you will see "photography by white tea". I want to hide this in the description that appears on this page only. I need it to remain on the blog post. It is the first few words that appears in the body of text that I would like to be ignored with generating the summery on the blog post list.

Thanks
