DMS 2 Inserting a canvas area above the header

Question

Posted · Report post

Hello,

If i wanted to add a canvas above the header so that i could add an image or text for specific pages there, could i do that via the visual editor or would i have to edit the template (php) to do so.

The page would then be as follows:

--------------------

fixed bar (use or hide)

--------------------

canvas area

--------------------

header

--------------------

main template area

--------------------

footer area

--------------------

Is this possible?

Thank you.

HI,

You can drag and drop a Canvas section above the Header Template area. However, by doing so, it will be considered a global canvas area due it to being above the header template area which also is a global template area.

There is away round this, if you use the DMS Pro Tools plugin, you will be given an option to hide on specific pages by adding the ID of those pages - https://cloudup.com/cZdfZoeRBj9

Danny, thanks for the info.

Is this something we can suggest as a development idea?

I think it will make DMS more flexible if we could do that.

Thanks for the info anyway.

I am not sure what you want me to recommend, as the Hide on Pages option does what you require ?
