DMS 1 Front page displays static page

Question

Posted · Report post

Hi guys,

Before I do it I wanted to confirm I'm on the right path. Website http://www.cabaritaoceanhealthretreat.com.au/ is currently directing to http://www.cabaritaoceanhealthretreat.com.au/home/ and the front page in WordPress is set to 'your latest posts'.

I want to keep the home page design like http://www.cabaritaoceanhealthretreat.com.au/home/ but get rid of the trailing /home

Do I set front page displays to static and then choose page http://www.cabaritaoceanhealthretreat.com.au/home/ and edit the permalink to remove the /home?

Then remove the redirection??

Cheers!

HI,

Why is your Homepage using the /home in the first place ?

Have you set this in the WordPress site url settings ?

No this is a WordPress site I've upgraded using DMS using the page configuration they already had set.

Setting the static front page should fix it I assume but I want to confirm DMS won't have an issue with it??

WordPress and Site URL's are both set without the /home.

DMS has no issue with static pages, if you enable your home page as the Front page, then you shouldn't see any /home in your site home URL.
