Hi everyone,

I installed the Pagelines Customize plugin and used the Continue Reading Link filter as it is displayed in the documentation, yet it does not give me the customized text I was looking for.

Is there anyone who can help?

It is on fcbayerncentral.com with the latest version of DMS.

HI,

The documentation for hooks are just guides and they only worked for PageLines Framework. If you want to customize the Read more text, you can do this via the options if you enable Legacy mode.

The Legacy mode is not something I want to use, though :/

As far as I can tell the new loop option (non legacy) doesn't use the continue_link_text filter. I have reported this to our tracker for you. This will mean that if our developers update it, you will be able to use the filter to change the text.

As a band aid for the time being, you can create a child of the PostLoop section and alter the read more text in the sections.php file. To create a child section of PostLoop, you're going to need to use a child theme and the copy the PostLoop sections folder into the sections directory in your child theme.

You're free to use my advanced skeleton theme which already contains the sections directory upon install, meaning all you need to do is copy the postloop folder there.
