Continuing to have issues trying to edit and build a site pamawsquiltsandcrafts.com

server admin noticed Apache hanging and rebooted.  Remedy was temporary and starting to slow again and fail to load/re-load on edits.

The 3 plugins when active seem to accelerate the problem.

HI,

I have just installed all three plugins on a test site and have no such issue, I am also certain that we have other users running these plugins. Therefore, the likely cause of your issue is your host environment.

Can you enable DMS debug mode on your site please (DMS Toolbar > Site Settings > Advanced or WP Admin Dashboard > PageLines > scroll to bottom), so we can take a closer look please.

I re-activated the plugins and enabled debug mode.

"Oops there may be an issue loading...DMS typically loads in less than 5 seconds..."

I have 2 other Pagelines sites up and running on the same host.

www.galapagosgroup.com with Pro Tools 1.6.2, and WP SEO v1.5.3.3...I haven't seen any problems from this one.

stevenjonesarchitect.com with v1.7 of pro tools, postpins v1.5, and WP SEO v1.5.3.3...intermittent issues while trying to work on the site after update to v1.7 of pro tools.  Appears fine this morning.

pamawsquiltsandcrafts.com has v1.7 of pro tools, postpins v1.5 and WP SEO v1.5.4.1...de-activate all plugins to get to the front end editor.  I can reactivate poppy, and is okay.  re-activate postpins and not okay.  re-activate pro tools and okay.  re-activate WP SEO and okay.  Appears to be postpins on this particular site.  Although, yesterday I was able to have postpins active as long as it was the only plugin active...it was running slow.

As far as I can tell the only possible cause of this, is your host. I have done reverse IP checks on all the domains you listed and all of them appear to be using either different hosts or located on different servers. The site that is having the issue is also housed on the same server as a porn site. Therefore, I think the best course of action would be to contact your host and ask them to see what could be causing the performance issue and move the domain to a different server.

In my opinion you should use someone like FlyWheel, who specialise in hosting WordPress sites, they host PageLines.com and are awesome.

Also, you should always keep your plugins up-to-date as you mentioned you have sites running old versions of DMS Pro Tools. Before updating, perform a backup as a precaution.

Thanks Danny.  I had them move the site.  I started working on it again today and all seemed okay at first.  all the plugins were active and allowing me to edit with no problems.  Then once I added the PinIt component to the page the following occurs.

Uncaught SyntaxError: Unexpected token <

As far as I can see that issue is related to a third party plugin or script you have added and not DMS.

Try disabling all the plugins.

For example, the pro plugin has about 10 option you can enable within the plugin, we have no idea which of those you have activated.

I dont see any javascript errors on your site now, though i do see your host is using the google pagespeed module, is that configured correctly for wordpress? Also dont forget with a database driven CMS like wordpress, your site is always going to be as slow as the weakest link, which is usually the database server.

The IP of your site only has 2 domains pointed at it, is it a VPS?

This is not a VPS.  It is a shared host that we have been using for WP sites since 2009 with no trouble.  We have 5 WP sites currently up and running with no issues.

I have only had trouble with www.stevenjonesarchitect.com and www.pamawsquiltsandcrafts.com that I am trying to build now with commonality being DMS and PostPins.  StevenJonesArchitect.com is still under construction, but appears to be functioning properly now.  The later not so much.  It functions upon disabling plugins, but as you add them back eventually the site editor stops loading with PostPins appearing to be the straw that breaks the camels back.

The DMS Editor was still unable to load when I attempted just now.  I disabled PostPins and now it loads.  Only I would like to use PostPins for this site.

I have not added any scripts, and the plugins I am using are all being used on other sites with no issues.

Since I am basically just getting started with this one, I will wipe the site clean and start over with a fresh WP install and database.

When your site is backup and running, can you enable DMS debug mode and also tell us what version of PostPins you're using please. As I am not having this issue on my site.
