I'd like use some of Enrique's themes on a client installation but would prefer to use the client company name as the child theme name.

I tried the usual approach for renaming a PageLines child theme (like Danny's Skeleton) but that did not work.

Could you please spell out for me what I need to do, exactly, to rename a PageLines Store child theme like Voyant?

Thanks

Hi,

  1. Deactivate the child theme if is active.
  2. Locate the file style.css in the root theme directory (../wp-content/themes/voyant)
  3. Change the follow line: "Theme Name: Voyant"
  4. Rename the root folder theme ../wp-content/themes/voyant (only use lowercase and no spaces)
  5. Reload the themes within your wp-admin ( ../wp-admin/themes.php )
  6. You will see the new theme name.
  7. Active the theme.

Best!

Enrique

Awesome, thanks very much, Enrique.

The part I had missed was the deactivate, reload, then reactivate.

All good now.

Beautiful work, by the way!
