Change Title font type and Size

Best Answer ellenmva , 13 July 2014 - 01:39 PM

This is the final code that worked.

.page .section-business-branding {
	.home.bb-site-title {
  		font-family: 'Oswald', sans-serif;
  		font-size: 40px; /* put your font size */
  	}
  	.bb-site-description {
  		font-family: 'Oswald', sans-serif;
  		font-size: 14px; /* put your font size */
  	}
}

Hello, I had scanned through the forum and looks like my question has already been answered in a few threads already but I could not get any of those solutions to work for me. So please bear with me.

I bought the "business branding section" and now I need to change the title of the font (oswald) and size too. Please let me know what code can I use to achieve this and where exactly am I suppose to paste this code. I had tried to experiment with various codes provided in other threads but none of them seem to make a different after refreshing.

@Pankaj32 Sorry for the delay getting back to you, been sick this past week. Yes, you can change the font and size of of the title and site description.

In the Custom Tab --> Custom LESS/CSS area put this code:

#page .section-business-branding {
	.bb-site-title {
  		font-family: 'Oswald', sans-serif;
  		font-size: 20px; /* put your font size */
  	}
  	.bb-site-description {
  		font-family: 'Oswald', sans-serif;
  		font-size: 14px; /* put your font size */
  	}
}

One note, if Oswald is the Header Font you selected in Site Options then you can replace the font-family with font-family: @plHeaderFont; (that picks up the header font from options).

Let me know if that works for you.

Best,

Ellen

Hello @ellenmva Thanks for picking this up. I hope you are well now.

I pasted the code but nothing changed. Am I suppose to change anything other than the desired font size e.g (20px or 30px etc) before pasting this code? What I need is the title in Oswald/Georgia font with 25px font and the description in 15px size

And, I have not selected anything in the site options for the header font. Can you please tell me what I might be doing wrong here. Thanks, Pankaj

@Pankaj32 Do you have a link for me to look at the site. Also, is Oswald a Google Font? The PageLines Pro plugin (should be at https://www.pagelines.com/my-account/). After you install it there is a menu item for PageLines Pro in wp-admin. Click on that and then check the option to Load All Google Fonts.

Also, make sure on the code that you got the last closing } and the code is in the Custom --> Custom Less/CSS box.

Where the code has font-size change it to desired size, you can do that in the Custom Less/CSS Box. Also, make sure it saves (click your cursor outside the box are so you see Saving in the DMS Toolbar.

Best,

Ellen

@ellenmva I am just playing with a domain before actually applying things on my main website. I have the DMS pro tools enabled for google fonts too.  Not sure if oswald is a google font though but I tried with other regular fonts too however nothing is changing after I update. I am sending you my log in credentials to you at ellenATellensueDOTcom, please take a look when you get a chance. Thanks, Pankaj
