DMS 2 How can I disable FIXED, HEADER or FOOTER without display:none?

Question

Hi!

It's a distraction when editing the site when the fixed area always reappears if I delete it and reload.

How can I completely remove the fixed are or header or footer (with functions.php?) without just hiding them in CSS. As I don't want them to load unnecererily.

Thank you!

Please can you tell us the version of DMS you are using, the reply you get will depend on the version you are using.

Ive checked all your previous posts and none of them include a URL, so we have to ask you, then wait for you to reply.

To answer your question:

DMS v1
CSS only

DMS v2 2.0 - 2.1,  2.1.1
CSS only

DMS 2.1.2, 2.1.3

This version included provision to turn off totally the areas you mentioned.

I'm using the latest version of DMS2, just updated. So probably 2.1.3.
How does it work here?

Thanks!
