Background image

dms2 background image

Best Answer Danny , 27 May 2014 - 08:30 AM

Well if you're using the a Canvas area and adding the image there, then it will likely not display the same, as it uses the background-size property and cover value, which resizes the image to the area, in doing so it will likely cause some of your image to not be visible. Where as Layer Slider doesn't appear to use cover. So that is probably the difference right there.

You could try and override the cover value with something else, so you get a similar effect as the LayerSlider.

Hi all

Is there any way to get the "Set to full window height" option RevSlider in a "background image".

I used the "Set Height to Window" option for background image but there is a small difference, it is not "full" as the other option, that's clear only I need to read this.

:)

I did four tests

1. Using an image in the background (this is different, quite small)

2. Using RevSlider (perfect)

3. Using a fullbox with "img.ri" class (perfect)

4. Using a LayerSlider Codecanyon WP plugin (perfect)

Here the test web

http://mac-team.com.ar/home/

and two pictures of the difference

I did not notice the difference, but a photographer friend showed me this.

I can not find the CSS to do this, or maybe not possible ... and I have to do with the other three ways, but I was curious to learn it, even if it is not important for the web.

Thanks in advance

Hi @Danny, good Sunday morning
:)

Thank you very much for the reply.
I let two images, you can see the "very small" difference between the first and second
1. http://screencast.com/t/us5H7X3iQ (background image)
2. http://screencast.com/t/y9U8Tedv72 (the other options)

The test web

I had not notice, but the eye of a professional photographer of the National Geographic (Jose Benito Ruiz) you showed me.

Regards
Carlos

Hi @Danny

This is only a detail, but it may be exactly the same, I change the "picture of the day" on the home page of this website's photographers.

http://distanciafocal.com.ar

and I wonder if it is possible, it would load faster on the web than the plugin I am using.

But I keep using the LayerSlider as now, if this is not possible.

Thank you much
Carlos

Hi Danny

On this site I am using the LayerSlider (http://distanciafocal.com.ar) to see the "full" image.

I would like change the plugin (LayerSlider), for a background image, but this has the "little" difference.

:)
