You can remove the additional padding by adding some custom CSS.

I recommend using Firebug or your browser inspection tools to determine which padding you want to remove and then making the changes with Custom CSS added to your chosen customisation method.

Documentation to help with this is available here http://docs.pagelines.com/customize/how-to-customize

Help overriding CSS can be found here http://docs.pagelines.com/customize/overriding-default-css

I think the easiest wayu to do this by far is to use textbox rather than quickslider for the images. Just add HTML images with text wrapped in a link tag.

something like the following

<a href="your link"><img src="link to your image"><p> your text </p></a>

Hi Martin, thanks for the reply!

Can you share with me explicitly how to shave off 10px from the height?

Otherwise, I have to resize all of those images (again).

One of the reasons I bought DMS2 is because it says 'drop and drag' and 'get a site like this in minutes.'

I am not a developer or code guy.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Hi,

I am not seeing a QuickSlider anywhere on your website, have you now removed the section and replaced it with the RevSlider ?

Also, the QuickSlider's height is dependent on the size of your image and the area width in which you have added the QuickSlider to. If you want to change the height, you may be able to override with CSS, but this may cause issues, as the section is a responsive section.

Hi Danny.

Thanks for your help.

All of the icons across the top are QuickSliders, I highlighted them in the post above.

Here's the link again: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/10596980/DMS2/this.jpg

I am not sure why folks in the forum keep saying that the QuickSliders are responsive and that this changes the size of the box, etc.

I mean, maybe they are 'responsive' in a way, but the size of the image isn't changing the height.

The size of the image simply, plainly does not impact the height of the QuickSlider box.  At least it doesn't in this instance because it's within a column box.

The way I ended up here was because a PageLines advocate in the forum suggested this solution.

Is there anybody here who can please help me with this?

I am almost at the point where I need to ask for a refund on DMS2 for so many reasons...

I have viewed your site again and it is no longer using a PageLines product ?

As I mentioned above the height of the QuickSlider is dependent of the area width. For example.

If you add a QuickSlider to an area that has a width of 500px, but the image you add has a width of 1000px and a height of 500px, then the image will be reduced to the size of the area width in this case 500px thus giving it a height of 250px (if my calculations are correct).

However, as I am unable to see any QuickSlider due to you not using a PageLines product but a Rockettheme product, we are unable to provide any assistance.

Also, not sure as to why you're using the QuickSlider for a group of single images, it is a slider. If you want to add a single image to your template, then use the MediaBox section.
