Yes , it would be simple ... but  :

- to be honnest (and i'm sorry to say that) , the dms don't let you the possibility to access directly to the Quickslider "code" , and you have to fixe in the cms interface. I'm maybe a kind of oldshcool guy , but i found it easier to build my page with the code, than without. Buy the way i can easily controle what i do, and put the slide show exactly where i want in my texte..

-all image are loading in the same time (and not one after one).

Not sure what you mean, you can access the QuickSlider code by view the QuickSlider sections folder. You can also create a child of the QuickSlider and customize however, you like.

If you want to implement that slider to your site, then you first need to follow the instructions given by the author.

http://www.woothemes.com/flexslider/

You can't just copy and paste the code on the documentation, such as:

<script type="text/javascript" src="jquery-1.6.2.min.js"></script>
<script type="text/javascript" src="jquery.flexslider.js"></script>
<script charset="utf-8" type="text/javascript">
   $(window).load(function() {
      $('.flexslider').flexslider();
   });
</script>

If you have implemented those scripts the way you mentioned above, then it will never work, as you haven't changed the URL to point to where you have uploaded those scripts files.

However, you do not need to include the jQuery script, as that is already bundled with WordPress so that doesn't need to be included. So I recommend you go through the instructions again and make sure you have followed them correctly.

Thank you Danny !

I have understant, it's the src link , that i had to put the correct url of the place where i put in on my ftp !

when i say that you can't acces the code of the Quickslider , i'm not talking of the .php nor .js file , but i mean the html text .  (the js. and .php , is far to complicated for me ; lol).

If  you want to use Quickslider you have to do it from the CMS , right ? By adding the section, and then adding image one by one.
You can't use the wordpress page "Text"zone , and put a kind of div : <div class="Quickslider"> ... ? do you ? ??

For my case, for exemple, i used the responsive grid html code (http://docs.pagelines.com/tutorials/responsive-grid),

With this Flexslider i can put the "slide" where i want with the <span> div ..

  1. <div class="row">
  2. <div class="span4">4</div>
  3. <div class="span8">8</div>
  4. </div>

And i'have past that code in the header.php  . (i don't understand why, but if i past it , in the zone of the cms for script (http://docs.pagelines.com/customize/dms-customize-options) , nothing happen ... but that's not the problem) .

<!-- Place somewhere in the <head> of your document -->
<link rel="stylesheet" href="flexslider.css" type="text/css">
<script src="http:// -------the real adresse of my serveur------ /wp-content/plugins/woothemes-FlexSlider-f0e9b4c/jquery.flexslider.js"></script>

<!-- Place in the <head>, after the three links -->

<script type="text/javascript" charset="utf-8">
  $(window).load(function() {
    $('.flexslider').flexslider();
  });
</script>

The real problem is that , now, Chrome don't manage do load the CMS ... (trying to load it without manage).
Firefox manage to, the slideshow works BUT, ugly point (i think linked to the <li>) appear ....

The code should work for you in DMS if it works in the demo site.

Could you paste the code you are using here and provide a link please? http://forum.pagelines.com/pst/

Hi martin ,

with pleasure,

         1. for trying use flexslider , the page is : http://www.objectif-mariage.fr/testflexslider/

 : i 'have put that in the header.php (before the </header> )

<!-- Place somewhere in the <head> of your document -->
<link rel="stylesheet" href="flexslider.css" type="text/css">

<!-- Place in the <head>, after the three links -->
<script type="text/javascript" charset="utf-8">
  $(window).load(function() {
    $('.flexslider').flexslider();
  });
</script>

And that is the code of the page :

<div class="flexslider">
<ul class="slides">

</ul>
</div>

=> it works with firefoxe, but chrome does not manage to load the page (the "wheel is turning, turning, turning..... without ending).

-----------------

2. For trying to use the carroussel .

I'have tried with my DMS here : http://www.objectif-mariage.fr/34105-2 , but it doesnt works

the code is :

[pl_raw]
[pl_carousel name="PageLinesCarousel"][pl_carouselimage first="yes" title="Slide 1" imageurl="http://www.objectif-mariage.fr/wp-content/uploads/2014/05/photographe-mariage-region-parisienne-groupe-22.jpg" ]
Here is the first slide and it's caption.
Here is the second slide, in all its glory.
[/pl_carouselimage]

You can have as many slides as you can create.
[/pl_carouselimage]

[/pl_carousel]
[/pl_raw]
 (i have tried with and without [pl_raw]  [/pl_raw]

BUT, I have succed is the demo paglines theme : here : http://mesphotos.objectif-mariage.fr/30824-2/

the code is exactly the same

with regards the Flexslider - this is loading for me straight away in chrome. http://www.objectif-mariage.fr/testflexslider/

The Demo content is for the Framework (another PageLines Product) but should work in DMS. I haven't tested this YET.

Is there a reason you do not want to use the sections that are already made for this?

Hello @Davies

well maybe it's loading correctly here (http://www.objectif-mariage.fr/testflexslider/) , but the chrome CMS loading (when you are connected) don't manage de load! I think it's come from what i put in the Header.php, because when I erase it, there is no problem anymore (but the flexslider don't work anymore :D ! )

In fact, the problem comes for this line that i have to put in the header.php :

<script src="https://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.6.2/jquery.min.js "></script>

when it try to used this script.

I thought the problem could come from the download of this file, so i have dowload it and put it on my ftp, (and then change the link in the header.php) . But no....

I have try to use the jquery.js (that you can find in the wp-cludes/js/jquery . But then again, Not working...

That's strange beacause with the Framework it's work perfectly ...

And the demo doesn't work in the CMS ...

SO : I have so delete this line, => the CMS works; but has you can see , the slider don't work any more (http://www.objectif-mariage.fr/testflexslider/)... So i have to chose betwen the CMS and the Flexslider , lol.

Well , the reasons i don't like to use with de section , is that i don't like it (sorry). Because you do not have acces to the code. The concept is good, (no need code anymore), but when i try to use it , it's become difficult and i prefere go back to the html code that I can  (almost) "control"..

You Can use the section using drag and drop and drop - if you want access to the code just copy the folder for the section form the DMS install and then into the sections folder for your child theme. You can then make any changes you want to the Child theme files.

If you make changes to your Header.php or any other files we can't support that. always work within your child theme.

Hello Davies,

Thank's for your answer .
But i'm not shure to understand correctly what you say . Do you means you can change the .php code ? right ?

I wish to be able to put the code in the WP hmtl code editor (not chang the php)  .

For exemple wright something like that :

<div class="flexslider">
<ul class="slides">
<li><img src="http://www.objectif-...e-groupe-22.jpg" alt="" /></li>
</ul>
</div>

Hello @Davies,

Sorry to bother you with this stupid question , but as you see i'm not the Einstein of programmation, wp, etc  (neither the Einstein of English . lol ... and neither a very good Shakespeare langage spooker)...

And i'would like to be shure to understand what you say. if you was speaking of code , like ".php" code (witch i totaly not understund), or like "<div >" code (witch i understand 1 ou 2 things)

If you are not sure of code i recommend using the pre-made sections. These sections in DMS contain code that has been tested in DMS as they are native sections.

If you are confident with code (which you say you say you are not) you can take the pre made sections , add the content to your child theme and modify them as you see fit. however, i do not recommend this, based on your response.

In fact, the problem comes for this line that i have to put in the header.php :

<script src="https://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.6.2/jquery.min.js "></script>

You mentioned making changes to core files - do not do this UNLESS you know what you are doing AND are using a child theme.
