DMS 1 Bullet's wont indent

Question

Posted · Report post

No matter how i try, i can't get the bullets on my client's site to indent properly.

eg www.medicalwriters.org/resources/

My latest attempt was

.hentry ul {
list-style: disc;
list-style-position: inside;
}

which sort of works in dev tools (the 2nd line of the point doesnt indent), but this wont stick anyway.

Any suggestions?

If I put the indentation in manually (using the visual editor) the typeface reduces in size, so that isn't a solution.

Thanks in advance.

Kate

Thanks Martin Davies you were spot on. There was an error that stopped this code from working. I will check here first in the future. Thanks, and sorry to be a pain!

Danny that code is perfect. thank you!

Hi Kate,

If I understand you correctly, try the following:

#site .hentry ul, #site .hentry ol {
margin: 1.3em 0 1.3em 3em;
}

Which will give you the following - https://cloudup.com/cYTCGmvfYIm

Thanks so much for your reply Danny.

Unfortunately this has no effect either :( The screenshot is spot on though, that's what I'm after.

Any other ideas?

Thanks

Kate

Hello @kato

The first thing to try is to take your custom code you have at the moment and add it to the service in the link here http://jigsaw.w3.org/css-validator/#validate_by_input

If you have any issues in the code they will be highlighted here - errors in the code could stop your newly added code working.
