Dont understand the question, but if you go to Page Setup, see which template is active and then you can either set the page as a global template or update that template with the current settings. This will lock it to that layout.

If you dont have a template 'active' but want to lock that template then 'Save Current Page As New Template'

Hi, yes realize ll this..but is there a way to make it not ACTIVE? ie once I create it and use it to start another page, I want it to be locked so no one else can change it..or is it always active when a page is using it as the template?

I think it can always be edited when the DMS editor is active. The only way not to have someone being able to change it, is to only allow them to edit the WP content/Loop. Similarly, if they need to select a template, then you need to assign that page/design a template name
