DMS 2 Rev Slider Text Not Showing on Smaller Resolutions on iPad

Question

Posted · Report post

The text on revslider doesn't wrap on certain resolutions (e.g., ipad in landscape mode) but is fully responsive on others (e.g., ipad in portrait mode and on mobile phones).

Is there a trick to get this to work "right?"

Running the latest version of DMS, DMS pro tools, WordPress.

Hi,

The problem isn't the RevSlider, its your text, you have simply exceeded the word per line count, your slider header is just too long. The RevSlider has LESS CSS in-place to reduce the font size by X pixels when the browser has a specific width and keeps doing so to match device widths. However, because your words per line is too large, the font size isn't enough and that is why you have the problem you have.

Basically, you have too much what they call fluff in your header, so instead of what you have at the moment:

Small Business Websites Built on a Fully Responsive
WordPress Framework Loaded With Great Features

Why remove the fluff and have something like this:

Responsive Websites for Small Businesses
Built on WordPress

Note: The above may still cause you issues.

Or have your same header but have more lines such as:

Small Business Websites
Built on a Fully Responsive
WordPress Framework
Loaded With Great Features

You can if you use my suggests above or use custom CSS/LESS to reduce the font size greater than what is provided by default. However, in doing this it may need to be super tiny in order to fit on the screen and could well become un-readable. So removing the fluff or add more lines is the best way to resolve your issue.
