DMS 2 Masonic Gallery FitRows floating right and allowing overlap

Question

Posted · Report post

Hi Guys

My Masonic Gallery is floating overlapped items (because they are not a uniform height) right. I'm pretty sure that the Grid mode is using Isotope 'FitRows' layout mode and as such something isn't quite right. I've looked at the js code and can't see why. The only thing I can say (that doesn't fix unfortunately) is that the code should initialise on:-

!function ($) {
$(window).load(function(){

... to allow all images/content to fully load.

Other than that hopefully you can tweak the code to fix this. Also it would be good if you could add the other Isotope layout modes.

Hi,

Can you provide a link so we can see the issue first hand.

Hi Danny

I have just sent this to hello at pagelines dot com.

Subject is: Masonic Gallery FitRows floating right and allowing overlap

I did find in my own version of a similar Isotope section that running ImagesLoaded before other events does help (other than window load).

Thanks

Glennyboy

We're having a similar issue, but with cells of equal size. They overlap until a filter is selected or the page is reloaded.

yes that is the issue site (under 'Press', but the issue was sort of hidden as I had set the min-height on .pl-grid-text (to ensure all elements were of the same height) that I have removed for the moment (so you can view). You will see overlapping and out of place elements now. From your screen grab I also see that images seem to be placing left, rather than centre - I presume this is a IE bug also.

As per the above my guess is that scripts are triggering before all images/content is loaded and that is the cause of many Isotope overlaps.
