Theme No Longer Functioning

Question

Posted · Report post

I recently visited the two websites that I created with iBlogpro4 about 4 years ago. They are no longer working correctly. The home pages are coming up but all other pages are coming up white. The CSS and HTML info is still there. My hosting support said the theme was throwing up an error message with the post.php file. see below

For physicaltherapyboiseid.com:
[30-Mar-2014 23:37:33 UTC] PHP Parse error: syntax error, unexpected 'endwhile' (T_ENDWHILE)
in /home2/sevsecr2/public_html/physicaltherapyboiseid/wp-content/themes/iblogpro/library/_posts.php
on line 96

I updated the WP version to 3.8.1 and I checked to see if I could update the iBlogPro4 theme but there were no updates available. What am I missing?

I downloaded the Iblogpro4 zipfile from the github, installed and activated it as a 2nd version of iBlog. I then selected the live Live Preview option and I got the same problem with the newly installed theme. Home page fine but no other pages displaying.

Is you problem that Live preview doesn't work? Live preview does not work with PageLines Products as the Preview does not give an accurate representation of the site due to CSS and other elements. It is therefore disabled.

If you could try disabling all non-PageLines plugins and see if this resolves the issue for us please?

I currently have no plug-ins active at this time. I have iBlogPro4 version 4.2.6 and iBlogPro4 theme 4.2.4 uploaded both of which are creating the same problem when activated

I finally got version 4.2.6 working and I am now trying to reconfigure the Nav bar. I will soon know if it is fully functional.

I've almost got the site back to the original setup except I can't seem to get the home page rotating feature sized correctly like it was before. It seems like the feature tiltle and text (on the left) have a horizontal buffer that is shoving the feature image (on the right) off the page....I can't find any setting to adjust or correct the hoizontal placement of these elements....Any ideas?

Hi there,

Try adding the following css into your custom css panel and saving

#feature .fmedia {
    float: right;
    height: 390px;
    margin-left: 480px;
    width: 628px;
}

For some reason the CSS code didn't change anything. I did notice however that the title alignment in the feature boxes is different between the two theme versions but the HTML in the feature setup windows is the same for each version. Somehow the the later version is aligning the feature titles in the center (incorrect) and the older version aligns it left (correct)?

Maybe that's a clue....I can't find anywhere to correct that....Any ideas?

Sorry this is such a problem....Thanks for your help

Hi there, looking into the source code those are the changes which re-align the section. I've copied what I can see adjusting in the editor, see the following screencast - http://screencast.com/t/Ax6Z1Ctb0

Copying and paste the following into your custom css panel and these should override the core css to display as shown.

#feature .fcontent {
    float: left;
    height: 300px;
    margin: 20px -500px 0 0;
    padding: 20px 80px 20px 20px;
    position: relative;
    width: 330px;
    z-index: 100;
}

#feature .fmedia {
    float: right;
    height: 390px;
    margin-left: 480px !important;
    width: 628px;
}

I tried pasting the code and it didn't affect anything. Here is a screen capture of how I am pasting the code. I must be doing something wrong. http://youtu.be/cCE13v14Kzw

try removing any embedded formatting from the code by removing the code completely and pasting into here http://www.striphtml.com/

Then try pasting the code back in.
