Hi,

You will need to use custom CSS. What I recommend is using Google Chromes Dev tools and inspect the Navbar menu items so you get the code used in the CSS panel.

Here is an example of how to override it.

#site .navbar .navline > li > a {
color: #000;
text-shadow: 0 -1px 0 rgba(255, 255, 255, 0.25); /* You can replace text-shadow: 0 -1px 0 rgba(255, 255, 255, 0.25); with text-shadow: none; if you do not want a text shadow */
}

I don't want a text shadow. So should I use this code and just insert the color number that I want?

#site .navbar .navline > li > a {
color: #000; text-shadow: none; */
}

Almost, use this instead.

#site .navbar .navline > li > a {
color: #000; text-shadow: none;
}

You needed to remove /*, as this is a comment, if you have only one, it will stop all CSS beneath from loading, as it will think its been commented out, so use the code I provided above.

Sorry but the above code you shared with me doesn't change the page titles on the Nav bar.

000 should be black text, right? What am I doing wrong?

Please could you share the exact code you have added to the Custom CSS field?

The code works, I tested it before posting. Also, when I view your site, I can't see the CSS I gave you loading, which means its not been added.

Thanks. I don't know why it's not working. I did add it and just did again but think something isn't right on the Custom Less/CSS option. WI click on Control+Enter, the live preview is not and has not worked previously so I can see the changes.

I have also aligned the navbar page titles to the far left of the page with code but see that the nav bar has reverted back to the right on my DMS test site. Weird.

Can you tell what's causing the problems on my DNS test site?

The code is fine that Danny gave me. It said No Errors Found.

But another piece of code someone gave me does have a problem. See below:

#highlighttummxun .highlight-head {

       padding-left: 1.1em:

}

W3C CSS Validator results for TextArea (CSS level 3):

Sorry! We found the following errors (3) URI : TextArea

3

#highlighttummxun .highlight-head

Value Error : padding-left Parse Error padding-left

3

#highlighttummxun .highlight-head

Parse Error 1.1em;

4

#highlighttummxun .highlight-head

Parse Error }

How do I correct this?

I just noticed a warning posted if I right click on Inspect Element. Does this help? What's this mean?

event.returnValue is deprecated. Please use the standard event.preventDefault() instead.

change : for ; after the em value

We can't really support you with issues to do with CSS - i suggest signing up for a CSS dedicated forum and asking for pure CSS advice there.

PageLines did not create CSS and therefore cannot support this.

Thank you! I had understood that with DMS, very little code would be needed. I do have a friend who will help me with CSS in the future.

You don;t really need any CSS whatsoever as standard - if you want to change the style of the standard look and feel then that's where CSS comes in

I guess that's true. I just thought many things such as more color options for the navbar would be possible without css. For example, do you realize the red is really orange? At least it sure looks that way to me. Plus I hope Pagelines will make it easier to change the color of the nav bar page titles in the future. Thanks again!

No problem. In order for things to work smoothly with little server impact the options are kept to a minimum - especially if there is an easy method to changing something that does not require an option to be developed.
