DMS, Woocommerce and revslider

Question

Posted · Report post

Hey there,

I'm running wp 3.8.1, dms 1.1.8 and woocommerce 2.1.5 also using the revslider (in the header area) in fixed width mode.

Everything works fine, except on the woo commerce pages. The images in the revslider are shifted in safari and chrome – and even not loaded in firefox.

I searched already for a similar problem/topic, couldn't find any useful information.

Thanks in advance.

Best,

Adam

HI Adam,

Can you provide screenshots and a link to your site so we can see the issue first hand please.

Also, can you disable all other plugins and see if this resolves your issue. Also be sure to not have Section Cache active in the DMS Pro Tools and enable DMS debug mode please - DMS Toolbar > Settings > Advanced.

Hi Danny,

Section cache is not active. DMS debug is on.

here is the shop (it´s not in the menu)

Screenshoots are attached.

Didn't played the plugin off/on game.

Hi Danny,

turned off every plugin. And started switching on with the woocommerce plugin – immediately the same effect appears.

(and in Firefox even not loaded)

Hi Adam - thank you for that.

What i can see is you have set the header to be 380  px max height but the rev slider is max-height 480px with another setting or CSS telling the slide to be 581px

Not sure this is the reason but is a bit messy.

I you can create an admin logon for your site and send the credentials to hello @ pagelines dot com  i will take a look into this right away for you. please remember to add a link to this topic in the email

Hi Martin,

just send the mail.

thanx a lot!

true that – I changed the height per less/css. but also when I tried to deactivate the custom css I had a similar issue. maybe it was stuck in the cache.

With Woo enabled you have the template 'magicshop' loading on the shopy page - in the local settings for this page you have a slider with 1 slide in it, http://screencast.com/t/pn6pnovZW

should this be the slider shown or should the original one show up?

Just trying to understand what SHOULd show.

It doesn't matter which slider is showing (still working on it).

The problem is the image in the slider is not on it's correct position.

You know what I mean?

Not 100% sure about the slide issue (the offset) at the moment but will look at this further. Might be worth reporting this to Woocommerce to see if they know what the issue is and then updating us if they find anything,

With regards the slider not appearing in FF - you have the slider height set to 0 in the CSS http://screencast.com/t/KLB8uRySDUyE

thank you for having a look.

You deleted my custom css code – an image still doesn't appear in FF!

Can you please reverse my css styles, as you found them yesterday!

Adam

I find it unlikely that Martin would remove your code, what code are you talking about?

Also, if WooCommerce is disabled, does your slider work as intended ?

Custom LESS/CSS code is not there anymore (it was quiet a lot). My failure that I didn't made a copy, but maybe Martin did. It was there when I gave him access, now it's gone.

If WooCommerce is disabled the slider works fine.

I have backed up the code - i always copy and make a backup to run through Validator to see if there are any errors.

Did you remove the code? i copied the code but didn't remove it completely

EDIT - i see you said you thought i removed the code. I didnt do this but luckily do have a back up.

ALSO - what did WooCommerce say in response to the issue with the Woo functionality affecting the slider?

ALSO - this code below is in error. please have a look at this code as the validator throws an error in relation to this.

html, body, div, span, applet, object, iframe, h1, h2, h3, h4, h5, h6, p, blockquote, pre, a, abbr, acronym, address, big, cite, code, del, dfn, em, font, img, ins, kbd, q, s, samp, small, strike, strong, sub, sup, tt, var, b, u, i, center, dl, dt, dd, ol, ul, li, fieldset, form, label, legend, table, caption, tbody, tfoot, thead, tr, th, td {
	vertical-align: none;
}

Try the validator yourself by pasting the code http://jigsaw.w3.org/css-validator/#validate_by_input

No, I didn't removed it – I didn't touch nothing after I let you in. anyhow. all good.

No news from WooCommerce, so far. I'll let you know, immediately.

Hi Adam - DMS 2.0 has been released. Could you backup your site and then update your DMS version to the latest version and see if this fixes the issue. If not we will continue to investigate this.
