Parallax and re-size pictures in mobile devices.

Question

Posted · Report post

hello there,

I was able to make the parallax option to work. However, it looks great in the computer but it doesn't re-size in my iPhone.

How can make it work in mobile devices?

here some samples of how they work on the demo:

Looking in your css it looks like you've added some additional classes to the bg parallax to correct something. If you remove this tweak does the phone then display correctly.

yes, the class I added is this to avoid the border bleed:

correct-background-parallax

/* correct-paralax */
.correct-background-parallax .pl-area-wrap {
  background-attachment: fixed;
}

this solve that problem on the desktop.

For testing, I have just removed the code. here is without that code:

the problem is not fixed.

Any ideas?

Luis

Hi Luis

I've saved your image and uploaded it to my site to recreate, and its loading fine on the mobile version of my testsite. If you switch from the impressive child theme to the standard DMS, then clear the cache and check on the phone does it display as expected? Wondering if there's some additional code in the child theme which could be causing the image to scale.

larrojas  The parallax issue has been brought up in the forums a number of times and I don't think has any resolution as of yet.  It's possible to fix the photo position but as the window is resized it might still catch the bottom or top of the image in a repeat.  Once the image is fixed, it does sometimes create scaling issues.  This issue is supposed to be resolved in v1.2.  I know that isn't very helpful but if it's not crucial you might just wait.

Also, I looked at BuiltWith but couldn't tell, are you using a plugin for the "back-to-top" arrow?
