Hi,

I just get this error:  Call to a member function process_styles() on a non-object in /home/stoneybr/public_html/wp-content/themes/dms/includes/init.editor.php on line 166

when I try to get to wp-admin.  What is this?  I was about to launch a site for a client, until all of a sudden this came up.

I think I figured it out.  The line 166 was this:

$this->handler->process_styles();

So I just deleted it to see if it would gain me access to the backend of the website.  Which it did, and the theme still functions properly.  Not sure if this is a permanent fix?

HI,

I haven't ran into this error before, but removing that code isn't the answer. Its likely your issue was related to a plugin you installed/using.

Also please beware that by removing code from the core files, you do void all support.

I readded the code, and it works now.  I haven't added any new plugins and for a while it was working, until all of a sudden, this happened.

Hi there, what were you doing on the site just before this happened? Updating any code/plugins etc. Do you have a url for the site we can look at

I did the same by re-adding the $this->handler->process_styles(); from that line. First removed it in my ftp edit file and then reloaded the site then just logged in again and then removed login radius that i might think this was the problem, then just re added the code back and worked ok!

- I recommend you disable all active plugins and see if this resolves your issue. As on my vanilla installation, I have not once encountered this error.

Sorry guys, just posted this in a new topic so will delete and continue here.  Having this issue too - was there ever a fix found for this?  This site is running DMS v1, and I am however NOT locked out of the editor, as I have changed the slug with iThemes security.  The error is just present on /wp-admin URL and when installing plugins etc.

Disable Error Notices is also checked in the editor.  debug is not however.

error:

With my naivety it seems to be related to the LESS processing on load?

I have changed the login slug using iThemes Security, but then I have done that on other installs too without the same issue.  I seem to be getting various versions of this error too upon mostly all php executions e.g. trashing a comment, installing a plugin, etc.

Thanks

Solved, sorry to waste your time guys.  I purely saw the URL relating to the DMS so automatically thought it was relating to that.

All In One WP Security was the culprit in this instance.

Hi Danny

Sorry, not very clear today am I lol.

The login URL to replace /wp-admin with /login for instance.  In this example, when I visited /wp-admin, I was presented with the above reported error.

This is an issue the plugin has with PL, but iThemes Security has been fine since I used that instead.  It was All in One WP Security that gave me issues.

Cheers

I would avoid any plugin that has all in one in the title
