I think the carousel is a brilliant feature. My desire is to use it in a slightly different way than just having the thumbnail images that go to a post or a flicker page. I would like to use the carousel feature to link thumbnail images of videos that will either load from say YouTube or link the thumbnail to a page in my web site. so it can do something like you see on this page link (and I apologize for the link) http://templatic.com...?theme=productz Is this possible and what do I need to change in the code? Thank you Peter

Off the top of my head I know probably the easiest way to do this without getting your hands dirty would be to setup redirects. You could setup place-holder posts something like: http://www.yourwebsi...y-diving-video/ Then using this plugin: http://wordpress.org...ns/redirection/ Have it forwarded to: http://www.youtube.com/6yrsy7duyd8yd88 Then feed that post into the carousel. Thanks, Bryan

Hi Bryan, Thank you for the follow-up. This solution sounds great for a single site situation. However what if I am running WP Multi Site and want this replicated across the network, I think off the top of my head I could run into a problem using a lot of redirects. If we look at my getting my hands dirty, what would be the recommendation. Is there a way to change code and make it run like the link I originally sent in the first post? Thank you Peter

Hi Adam I tried it out but it doesn't quite do what I was looking for. I really need the carousel thumbnail to direct with to Youtube but 99% of the thumbnails need to direct to a proper page like in the link I sent earlier. That is really the critical element to making the carousel do what is needed. http://templatic.com...?theme=productz Its a shame that the developers have not added something like that in the platform pro package. What would it take to make the changes to the php code? Peter

It looks like a solution was found here: http://www.pagelines...pic.php?id=3430 Unfortunately hasn't been shared just yet. In any case bump your topic. Thanks, Bryan

"bump" is just forum jargon for adding a post to the thread so it "bumps" to the top of the list. Bryan recommends it when he doesn't have an answer so another moderator will see you on the first page of the forum instead of you getting forgotten about.

Hi Everyone, This is the fix that was discussed earlier by Kathy and I went ahead had the guy do the same thing for me. I woud like to share it with everyone. Well there is folder in platformpro and platformbase theme related to nGEN gallery it called "nggallery" search for line start with this imageURL ?>" this line fetch the image URL so if you want fetch you custom URL , it need to be change to this ngg_custom_fields["Link"]; ?> echo $image->ngg_custom_fields["Link"] will get your custom Link field Peter

Hey Peter the pasted code did not work. You need to wrap it in tick marks. On my mac the tick button is above the tab button

Your code got partly implemented/hidden from view. The trick is to wrap it with ticks ` top left corner area key of your keyboard. Thanks, Bryan
