Pagelines Admin Access only for one Admin?

Question

Posted · Report post

I'd like to remove the pagelines framework link from the left admin sidebar in wordpress for all users with admin role and than grand access for only one special admin - is that possible?

Within Platform Pro there used to be this function - can you provide something similar for Pagelines - with the addition as described above?

// additional admin Pagelines function
function remove_pp_menu() {
global $menu;
global $current_user;
	get_currentuserinfo();

if($current_user->user_login == 'admin_name')
	{

foreach( $menu as $key => $item ) {

	if ( $item[0] == 'PlatformPro')
		unset( $menu[$key]);
        }
	}
}
add_action('admin_head', 'remove_pp_menu');

By default only anyone with an Admin user role will get access to the PageLines tab, if you set the other users to editor/subscriber/contributor etc then they won't have access to any of the PageLines settings, just to the standard wordpress posts/pages etc.

Hi James, yes thanks, i know.

But is there a way for that special situation?

For example: A function that dissalows access for all admins and than makes access possible only for one special admin?
