Full Font Awesome Library

Question

Posted · Report post

Hi

Can we please look at extending the DMS Pagelines Font Awesome library to the full list as per:-

http://astronautweb.co/snippet/font-awesome/

I may be wrong but currently Pagelines only provides a few of the icon options available and is missing some decent icons and boxed variations. If the library is available can Pagelines provide full documentation please.

Thanks

Glenn

Hi Glenn

At the moment PageLines not using the full updated font awesome library, a request has been made to update and include the new icons. Hopefully this will make it in to the new major update. Ref- https://github.com/pagelines/DMS/pull/535

Danny

If DMS2 is using Font Awesome 4, how can I use i.e. the spotify icon?
Here http://docs.pagelines.com/tutorials/font-awesome I cannot find it, and using or won't show.
How can I get the spotify icon (and other new icon) to show up?

Thanks!

The Spotify icon was included in Font Awesome 4.1, which DMS doesn't use at the moment. As far as I know, Font Awesome will be updated in the next release of DMS.

Thanks!

By the way, is there a reason why DMS uses different codes than Font Awesome? Wouldn't it be simpler for user and you DMS developers to keep them synced?
Also users could check out the icon codes from font awesome -website.

Pagelines uses it's own syntax and also that of Fontawesome as far as I am aware. You can use the 'fa' syntax as normal and it will work on the . For CSS before and after I use 'PageLinesFont' as the Fontawesome font and that also works. You can reference content codes from here:-
