When i post an update on Facebook and link to an article, the snippet fetches a few elements that i do not want to show up.

In the image i marked it with red:

  • Post date
  • Add comment

How can i customize this output?

Hi there, use the facebook debugger tool to see what content it's pulling from the page, there's some options there where you can make edits like thumbnail choices etc -

I don't know if it will separate out the meta info though, worth a shot though as you might be able to isolate it.

I tried it, but apart from some interesting info, it doesnt help to leave out that specific meta info.

When i post an update from another Pagelines blog, it works ok. Perhaps you could see the difference when linking to:
