Displaying Page Content in Section

Question

Posted · Report post

I'm working with DMS Pro to build a new site.

I'd like to use the content of a WP Page in a section so that the client can edit the information in the page, without worrying about editing on what is a rather long and complex home page design.

How can I display the content of one page in a section?

Hi,

To display the content that has been written using the Wordpress page or post content editor, you need to add the Content/Post Section.

Thanks, Danny, but I'm still not seeing how to select a particular Page to show in the Content/Post Section. Where do I make the choice in the Content/PostLoop section for this?

Or is there supposed to be another section called Content/Post, instead of Content/PostLoop that I'm missing?

BTW, this is for a section on the Home Page where I'd like to display the contents of 1) a custom post type, and, 2) in another section on the home page, show the contents of a page (About Us).

Thanks for your help.

Not sure what you mean when you say a particular page ?

If you add the Content/PostLoop on a specific page it will display the content for that page. When you set Wordpress to a static front page, your posts are no longer available on that page without the use of a plugin as the front page is now a normal page and not a dynamic one.

So if you wish to display a content from a post or custom post type, you will need to use a plugin such as MiniLoops, the Loops or Special recent posts. You could also use a third party loop section there are some on the PageLines store.
