Extra code added to gallery page from Pagelines theme

Question

Posted · Report post

Hello,

Recently I've transferred a site from one wp install to another (to update from Platform Pro to Pagelines), and now there are weird elements appearing on my album and gallery pages (Next-Gen plugin).

I've already vetted this with the plugin, and they say it's related to the theme, which in this case is Pagelines.

The weird shapes seem to be coming in as extraneous "code" in the CSS.

code, .prettyprint {
    background-color: #F6F6F6;
    border: 1px solid #D0D0D0;
}

Why is this showing and how can I get rid of these?

Here is the site. See screenshot also.

Other site info: Wordpress 3.5.1

Pagelines: 2.4

Thanks.

Hi,

I can tell you that this issue isn't a theme related issue. The cause of your issue is that your markup has <code> tags appearing both before the Nextgen Gallery and after it, see here - http://d.pr/i/2gu6

PageLines Framework can not add <code> tags to your posts or pages. Therefore, the issue is either been caused by yourself by using <code> tags and not closing them correctly or you have a plugin causing the issue.

The only thing PageLines Framework is doing is styling your empty <code> tags.

Also, you should update to the latest version of Wordpress and PageLines Framework, we do not actually provide support to users using legacy versions.
