Need IE specific CSS for controlling the round images in sidebar

Question

Posted · Report post

I found one other glitch in my newly launched site. I didn’t test enough in other browsers until now. Apparently IE10 doesn’t support the round images correctly. In both my news and portfolio sidebars they’re round but they’re HUGE. I must need some browser specific instructions there?!

Note, they're fine in FF & Chrome.

Hope someone can assist. Thanks.

From viewing your site, you appear to be using the WooThemes Testimonials widget, we can not provide support for third party widgets and that widget is using its own styling and not DMS widget styling.

Therefore, you will need to contact WooThemes support for assistance.

Thanks Danny. I've attached 3 examples showing how it appears in FF (and Chrome) vs in IE10. Here are the 3 pages where these captures come from and also here is the CSS I tried to fix it in IE.

.ie .testimonial-page img{
  width: 100px;
	height: 100px;}

.ie .widget_woothemes_testimonials .quote a.avatar-link img{
  width: 60px;
	height: 60px;}
/*Recent Projects images*/
.recent-projects-images img {
  .border-radius(50%);
  padding: 0 10px 0 0;
}

.ie .recent-projects-images img {
	width: 40px;
	height: 40px;
}
.ie .custom-cpt img {
    width: 40px;
    height: 40px;
}

Danny, I have contacted Woo and am awaiting their response. But I wonder if you might still assist with the Recent Projects widget. That is a standard WP plug-in in the standard DMS sidebar and has nothing to do with Woo. Thanks.

It's a plug-in from the repository that pulls in Custom Post Types. But it's a standard (non-premium) plug-in. I thought it would be standard CSS in DMS.

Support for 3rd party plugins from the Wordpress plugin repository is provided by the Plugin developer directly. Support for Wordpress pluginshttp://wordpress.org/support/

You guys...all you need to do is say "we don't support custom CSS...you're on your own" and be done with it. My question is a simple CSS issue and has nothing to do with what plug-in is in use. But I get it. You're here to support DMS and not CSS. Thanks anyhow.

Sheila, we do not provide CSS support and I am not sure why you (and you're not alone) :D have come to the conclusion we do.

We provide basic CSS support when the issue/question is related to a PageLines/DMS section, theme or plugin, we do not provide any kind of support to third party products, as they're not our products. All plugins, themes for Wordpress are supported by their own developers, the same goes for Wordpress too.

If you require custom CSS support, your best bet would be to join a CSS specific forum and ask your question there.
