Unfortunately, I can not give any ETA in regards to a fix.

Hi,

I'm finding it quite cumbersome and slow that whenever I update a custom template, I then have to go through each of my pages where that template is used and reload the template and publish the changes. Is there a way to have it so that once I update a saved template, all other pages using that template dynamically get updated?

It seems like under the current system, template settings are only set when the template is loaded rather than being "linked" to a template and always "pulling in" the latest version of the template when the page is loaded.

Thanks, Mark

Hi Mark,

Are you referring to this ?

1. You create a template and assign it to your Red Page, Blue Page, Green Page, Yellow Page and Purple Page.

2. You then make some alterations and update the template on the Red Page.

3. When you go to the Blue Page or Green Page etc.. the changes are visible and you want them to be ?

If so, as far as I am aware this is an issue that has already been reported to our tracker.

Hi Danny,

yes, except for no. 3. The changes AREN'T visible and I want them to be. I have to manually click the Load Template button to see my changes on every page that uses that template. This is a pain!

If it's already been reported then that's great. I look forward to an update!

Mark

P.S. Apart from that, I'm really liking DMS!

That's good news! Can we view this tracker or is it an internal tool only? Is it going to take months to fix or will it be fairly quick?

Hi

I've seen this request in a number of places on Pagelines. A Framework that can't update templates is not a viable Framework and as noted above is cumbersome and overtly time-depemndent. It's causing me all sorts of issues on big sites. Can we have an ETA on when a template is updated that all pages on that template are updated.

Thanks

Glennyboy

Changes made to templates in the Next release of DMS (1.2) have covered all aspects of issues relating to templates including this as far as i know.

The update is coming very shortly.
