DMS - broken CSS when trying to edit layout with posts

Question

Posted · Report post

I have recently implemented the latest version of DMS, and am trying to define my first layout.

Whenever I use a page with posts as homepage for my website, DMS will not load, and the page will be stripped of all layout elements it seems. It seems as if all CSS is broken.

DMS is only available partially in plain text at the bottom of the page.

When I set the homepage to be a static page, I can use DMS to build the layout, but I cannot build a layout with posts on the frontpage.

What am I doing wrong?

All plugins have been deactivated, I have saves LESS etc.

Website URL: http://test.natriumarm.eu

(http login: aranka / test ) <-- Not vital, is just to prevent people from looking at the test-site.

WP version 3.7.1

No plugins in use

OK, just noticed you have suhosin active, can you try disabling that and see if that resolves your issue.

As far as I know it's not possible to completely disable Suhosin in Ubuntu. I have made the setings for disabling though.

That doesn't make a difference.

If it's related to permalinks, it should be related to rewrites, right?

So it >might< be related to the nginx configuration?

Could well be, Im just trying to go through everything, I remember a user have a similar issue in PageLines Framework and it was related to Suhosin as far as I can remember.

But you may be correct in your assumption with the nginx config.

Oh I'm not saying it couldn't be Suhosin, it's just that Suhosin is a standard part of many php implementations these days.

It could well be, but I am by no means an expert in server config, so it could well be either. I will need to speak to our developer, who uses nginx and see if there is anything that could cause this issue.

Simon_P Are you sure you made the fix in my installation?

Also, in which version do you expect I could get the fix?

Simon_P Could you please send me the fix? There is CSS on my homepage now because I changed to permalinks back to default. When I reactivate the custom permalinks, I still have problems in the editor.

For now, in my development environment, this is not really a problem, but it makes DMS unusable in the production environment.

Hmm, I think it doesn't work in all cases then. Sorry :(

I still get this broken CSS when I enable my custom permalink structure.

I have enabled it on my site now, and you can see what happens when you try to load a post from the main page with DMS running.

EHm... I don't get it. Now it is working as it's supposed to. Must have had sh*t in my eyes or something.

Sorry Danny, Sorry Simon. Thanks for your help!

Ooh, luckily I am not crazy... Are you sure you actually were logged on when you tried loading a post from DMS?

I have logged on, from DMS clicked a link to http://test.natriumarm.eu/geen-categorie/test-aart/

and after a refresh got the following result (see attachment)

I was logged in and couldn't see an issue. However, I do see the same thing as you on that page. From the looks of it you have a js error related to a plugin category view grid gallery.

I highly recommend you disable all active plugins except for DMS Pro Tools and see if this resolves your issue. We can not diagnose issues correctly when there are so many plugins active.

OK, I deactivated all other plugins now. I can see the same issue for all posts by the way. As soon as DMS is loaded for that page, the CSS get's broken.

OK, I will need to speak to Simon, however, imo it has to be related to your server.

Simon's fix actually made sure the problem wouldn't occur on the front-page. His change actually limited the problem to only posts it seems.

I can't judge the intention of

trailingslashit( get_permalink( $post->ID ) )
