PopThumbs - change the expander icon

Question

Posted · Report post

Hello,

I want to change the default expander icon for the PopThumbs sections of DMS.

The icon is currently the Font Awesome "icon-plus"

I want to change it to the Font Awesome "icon-resize-full"

I want this to be a site wide change. Can anybody help?

You can view where I'm up to here:

Thank you in advance :)

Hi,

In order to change the icon, you will need to create a child section of PopThumbs and then change the icon in the section.php file. Search for icon-plus and you there should be two results, replace both with your icon of choice.

You can find more information on how to create a child of section following the instructions here - http://docs.pagelines.com/advanced/override-sections

Thank you for your reply.

I am confused about the page you've linked to;

1) "Make sure Base Theme is installed from our Store"

I can't find Base Theme in the store

http://www.pagelines.com/?s=base&post_type=product

2) The picture is showing the Base Theme for Framework. Is Base Theme the same files for both Framework and DMS?

3) Will activating Base Theme override/remove any work I've already done in DMS?

I appreciate your help with this.

Thank you for your help. I have created the look that I wanted using this method.

I offer to edit the docs page, to make it more understandable for beginners like me. Is this OK?

We welcome any feedback or contribution to our docs, you can do so by creating a GitHub account (if you dont have one already) and then either do a pull request with your changes or create an issue if you're not comfortable with pull requests.

You can report an issue here - https://github.com/pagelines/Docs/issues
