footer background

Best Answer Danny , 05 November 2013 - 10:52 AM

In order to only style the content area of your footer, you will need to target the content class in the sections you add to your footer. For example:

 #footer .section-simple_nav .content {
background: #F00;
}

However, in-order for this to work, I had to disable all your custom CSS for your layout, as I your fixed footer and fixed header were getting in the way. Please be aware, that we can only provide limited custom CSS support and we do not provide support for users custom CSS.

Hi all,

I've been revising my site (www.i-english.nl) and I can't seem to get the sticky footer to produce a background color. It seems like a syntaxis problem since when I use this:

#footer .content-pad{} the background does appear in the sticky footer. But I don't want the whole footer just the container group. But if I use this

#footer .container-group{} the footer is stuck (in the correct width) but I cannot get the background color to appear.

Any suggestions?

Tamar

Hi,

You have a lot of custom CSS, that is causing some strange behaviour this is likely the cause of the issue. Remove all your custom CSS, then we can assist you.

Do you mean remove everything? Or just the part relating to the footer?

Hello Martin,

No not exactly. I was trying to make the footer white but not over the whole length, just the length of the contentpad but I gave up since my css wasn't working due to unknown factors! So now I'm going to try something else.

Thanks again!

Hi Danny,

I've been on it all morning. This is the result:  i-english.nl Seems to have worked. I took your advice and edited out all the css one by one, painstakingly seeing what they all were doing, at least half was useless! So much cleaner css.

Thanks again..
