Flash Video Issue

Question

Posted · Report post

Hello all, right, I've pulled over some .swf video/flash files from my clients old site to put on the new site (dms), and they're fine in Chrome! However in Firefox they simply don't show, and in Internet Explorer they overlap the header image when you scroll down the page.

This is my first endevour with flash on DMS so i'm obviously missing something here. Should i just convert .swf to .avi? Recommend a flash player plugin?

Here's the link http://1069464306.n588565.test.prositehosting.co.uk/dental-implants/
and i've added them by FTPing them in and then html links.

Try adding your code to a MediaBox instead, also I would probably convert the videos to HTML5.

Okay, I've converted the SWF's to HTML5 format and added them into Mediabox instead of Textbox - so far it's looking a great deal better, thanks Danny. But IE and Firefox are now displaying 'invalid source' & 'no video with supported format and MIME type found'. but it's MP4? and i'm pretty sure i've included the MIME file too, here's the code im now using:

<video width="320" height="240" controls>
  <source src="/images/implant/video.mp4" type="video/mp4">
  <source src="/images/implant/video.webm" type="video/webm">
</video>
